I transformed a doll house, a princess carriage and a doll into fun... | By The Gooch | These are my top Halloween decorations for 2024. I turned this princess doll into a wicked witch. First I spray painted her green. Cut off the top of her hair just so the hat would fit over her hair. I threw in a five dollar crystal ball and painted her fingernails black. I added on a metallic green lipstick and gave her some evil witch eyebrows. Start from the center and paint upward and outward. Before I finished her up, I attached her to a candle holder using hot glue and then used my tweezers to peel back those gorgeous eyes. I picked up this princess carriage and turned it into a haunted caravan. First, I used spray paint and painted it black then I used my screwdriver and removed the main. Then, I used my kitchen saw and removed the hand of this dustpan broom. Next, I used my pool noodles create a cushion ride for the caravan and I attached on some LED candles from the dollar store next I took purple paint added in some dry brushing just to highlight all the accents of the caravan using some super glue strip tape I put some strips of tape along the top of the caravan and use this spider web fabric to create a curtain I took some aqua green paint that I had left over from another project just to give some highlights to the wagon wheels and the spider and the horse's bridle. Next up, I used white paint to paint the eye and look how I painted on the pupil. I just took my fingertip, dipped it into paint, and voila, I've got a horse's eye. Looks kind of scary, doesn't it? I used a piece of scrap velour fabric that actually matched perfectly to cover the seat. I also picked up this five-dollar skeleton bone lantern at the Dollar Store. I painted it black and then I added on the bristle brushes from the kitchen room that I highlighted with the colors used on the caravan. Of course, the haunted caravan wouldn't be complete without my signature Gooch sign on the front. Now, to add in the passengers and then we'll check it out at night right after I show you this one. Are you sitting down? I picked up this children's doll house for $2.97 at the thrift store. I painted it black and then I used popsicle sticks to board up the window so it really will look like a haunted house. You know me well, I do like my twinkle lights so I added twinkle lights all the way around this house using my trusty hot glue gun. So, remember that picture frame that I busted up? Well, I had taped both sides of the glass before I broke it because I wanted to add a shattered glass window to this. I used some scrap tulle from the craft store to add on some curtains, added a branch from my backyard, and then I used some green paint, metallic of course, to give it a highlight. Now, let's check out all three of my Halloween DIYs at night. How amazing did this haunted house turn out? I love everything about it. I think this might just be my favorite, my fortune teller witch is spooktacular and let's not forget at my haunted caravan with my family of skeletons. I'll post links to all of these separate videos in the comments so be sure to check them out.
