The Arts Section 02/07/16
February 7th, 2016
On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek talks to the president of the Chinese Fine Arts Society, Julie Tiao Ma about Chinese New Year. Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel wants Chicago's Chinese New Year celebration to be the biggest in North America, Ma says progress is being made. Gary also caught up with the local playwright and composer behind a world premiere musical about Sherlock Holmes. The Dueling Critics will join Gary to review a new production from Oracle Theatre … that’s free. We'll hear from a Sports Illustrated writer, who recently edited a new coffee table book that covers the amazing growth of the Super Bowl over 49 years. Gary also updates the Wabash Lights project.
