The Arts Section 02/14/16

February 14th, 2016
Vibraphonist Gary Burton

Happy Valentine’s Day. On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek caught up seven times grammy award winning vibraphonist Gary Burton.   They had a great conversation about growing up in a small town in Indiana and that time Miles Davis threatened to kill him.  Gary also talked to Joffrey Ballet music director Scott Speck about an ambitious new program that just opened at the Auditorium Theatre.  Chicago's own Willie Pickens stops by to talk about his fantastic career. The Dueling Critics join Gary to talk about a new production of FAR FROM HEAVEN.  Plus, an audio short story to help you get in the mood for Valentine's Day.
