Wolf Vostell's CONCRETE TRAFFIC

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek looks back at the history of Wolf Vostell's sculpture CONCRETE TRAFFIC.  University of Chicago art professor Christine Mehring share how she stumbled upon the piece that had been in storage.  Gary also caught up with the founder of the inaugural Ear Taxi Festival, which will celebrate Chicago-based composers and musicians this October. Also, a conversation with director Hannes Holm, his new new film A MAN CALLED OVE could be an early foreign language awards contender. We’ll hear about a local author's first novel. And the Dueling Critics will stop by a little later to review Goodman Theatre’s latest musical production, WONDERFUL TOWN.
