'The Matrix' Tops Mag's Sci-Fi List

Movies – The best science-fiction movie or TV show of the past 25 years? As a classic episode of "The Twilight Zone" once so memorably underscored, beauty is in the eye of the beholder - so the answer is surely endlessly debatable. But, according to a list compiled by the editors of Entertainment Weekly, it's "The Matrix."

Ibrahim, a lanky 24-year-old, was on the same mission when he left this bleak city north of Amman for Iraq last October.

Skin deep: After Spider-Man 2, Our Hero Loses His Grip

Movies – "Spider-Man 2" was a textbook example of how to make a sequel: Deepen it, make it funnier, give it more heart and come up with a strong villain and a good story. "Spider Man 3," by contrast, shows how not to make a sequel. The film takes three bad stories and tries to fashion a narrative out of them.

Top 10 Greatest Remakes

Movies – Despite The Departed's Oscars, the concept of the remake still has a bit of a stigma attached to it. That might be because by and large the remakes we've been subjected to in recent years have had more to do with Hollywood trying to capitalize on its horror libraries more than anything else.
