MaxoidMel Blog Update 18:44 PST | lufiaguy | Print News MaxoidMel updated her blog at the official site, writing a few comments about the next expansion pack, The Sims 2 Bon Voyage. Read them here or below:
Bon Voyage!
Yes, it's official... and that is the project I've been working on (with many other awesome people) for several months now. It's so exciting to see all the great reactions on the BBS now that people have the confirmed title :-)
I don't think I'm allowed to say anything in detail, but I do think this EP is going to successfully keep up the trend of one-upping its predecessors. It's huge and Bon Voyage is going to add tons of fun your game!

The Sims Coming to the Big Screen 16:31 PST | lufiaguy | Print News Variety has reported that 20th Century Fox has acquired feature rights to The Sims from Electronic Arts, and has set up a project to create a live-action film. Steve Asbell is said to be overseeing the project alongside Rod Humble. Brian Lynch has been named as the script writer.
"'The SIMS has done an interactive version of an old story, which is what it's like to have infinite power and how do you deal with it," said Humble. "Given that that's an old story, you can imagine how easily that would translate to traditional story telling."
We'll keep our eyes open for more information about this story, and will post news as we find it!

Next Expansion Pack: The Sims 2 Bon Voyage? 18:33 PST | lufiaguy | Print News It appears that a sixth expansion pack - The Sims 2 Bon Voyage - may be officially announced in the very near future. The official UK Sims site earlier provided some solid evidence - under the expansion packs menu was a broken link to a "Bon Voyage" page. The link has since been removed, but a screenshot of it can be found at SimTimes.de (the site is in German - just scroll down to the news post from the 22nd to see the screenshot). If that evidence wasn't solid enough, then take a look at these - three screenshots from the official Danish Sims site! We'll keep you posted as more news comes in.
