Scrutineering is an old tradition for the Le Mans 24 hours. Held in the town's center, a massive number of fans come out to see the new cars, listen to the public driver interviews, and to have a beer with friends as the week of events, culminating in the race itself, are kicked off.

Here's the first installment of this year's Le Mans coverage on SPEEDtv.com. Our "Postcards From Le Mans" features will run each day through the event on Sunday, with photo galleries and the odd video for your enjoyment.
