You can advertise on Netscape by using http://aolmedianetworks.com/.
You can go directly to an article by clicking on the teal colored "Visit Site" link or by using the "via" link, the former being to the right of the post title and the latter directly underneath. If you register as a member you can even disable or enable the black navigation pane that appears when you use the "Visit Site" link. If you use the "via" link, you will never see a black frame on the left-hand side and instead will go directly to the original article.
Once you are logged in (you will have to create a free account) and see the black bar on the left side, you can click on "Disable Frame Permanently". To turn it back on (or off again as you wish) you may go to your member settings page: http://www.netscape.com/member/[yourmembername]/settings
Under the "Member Preferences" heading on the lower right on that page you may check or un-check "Hide the Frame Navigator".
You can also temporarily disable the frame by clicking "Close This Frame."
