MVP Diagnosed With A Major Heart Condition

Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome MVP, whose real name is Alvin Burke Jr, has been diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is a pre-excitation of the ventricles of the heart due to an accessory pathway known as the Bundle of Kent. This accessory pathway is an abnormal electrical communication from the atria to the ventricles. It is said that up to 3 percent of the general population may also have it. Most people that have Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome don't show symptoms throughout their entire lives. However, there is a risk of sudden death, but it is rare. Treatment Treatment for Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is available. Once treated, patients have a less than 5% chance of being diagnosed with the condition again. MVP should be able to work a full schedule again and wrestle for the WWE.

WWE Wellness Program

MVP's condition was discovered during a routine check up by the WWE. Wrestlers are required to run on a treadmill and take an EKG to check on the heart valve.

With all of the negativity surrounding the company in regards to drugs, the WWE decided to use the finding to promote their wellness program. There is an article on the official WWE website that basically attempts to make the WWE Wellness Program seem more credible.

From a business standpoint, this makes absolutely perfect sense for the WWE to do. Die hard wrestling fans already know what they're doing, but hopefully, this changes the mind of the casual fans.

United States Heavyweight Championship

With the diagnosis, there's now a bigger chance that the writers could take the United States Heavyweight Championship off of MVP for a short period of time.

Matt Hardy is a good candidate to hold the belt for the time being since he's obviously one of the more popular wrestlers in the company. Plus, he's been the best worker on Smackdown for the past few weeks now.

Another option the writers have would be to use the belt to elevate one of their many midcarders who are in need of a push.

Putting the belt on someone like Chuck Palumbo would shock the audience and give him more credibility. Ric Flair is still a crowd favorite, so fans wouldn't mind seeing him with the United States Heavyweight Championship even though he doesn't necessarily need it, though.

The United States Heavyweight Championship should eventually end up with MVP again, though. The title has been a good tool for elevating his status with the fans.

It's a great thing that the WWE discovered this condition. MVP will get his treatment and come back to the WWE to continue his rise.

Media Interested In TNA

TNA has managed to gain the attention of the national media. Several outlets, including ESPN, have requested credentials and Hard Justice footage.

X Division To Stay

Reports that TNA eliminating the X division are false. TNA management intends on keeping the division around because it's still a draw.

TNA has booked Ron Killings for the Hard Justice pay per view this upcoming Sunday. He is expected to have something to do with Pacman Jones.

Boxing Match

Matt Hardy and MVP are scheduled for a boxing match at the Saturday Night's Main event taping that will occur this upcoming Monday night in New York.

Tickets for Wrestlemania will go on salve November 13th. Based on past years, tickets should be sold out on the very same day.

Bischoff's Contract

Eric Bischoff's contract with the WWE has officially expired, and he is allowed to pursue any project he wishes. Right now, his focus is on Hollywood.

Reports have surfaced that Ashley Massaro has been bounced from Survivor: China. She is expected to return in December or January.
