September 12, 2007 - Today Atari announced that in addition to appearances on the Wii and DS, Godzilla: Unleashed will also make the PlayStation 2 its stomping grounds. Developed by Pipeworks, the same team behind the Wii version, Unleashed is a fighting game featuring the giant monsters from the long-running Godzilla movies -- and a few new faces, as well.

Based on the theory that you have to destroy the planet in order to save it, Unleashed lets players pick a monster and drop them into urban areas to duke it out in large scale, monster-on-monster action.

"We've made some interesting adaptations from past Godzilla games, so players will encounter different story modes, new monster abilities, and more flexible multiplayer capabilities, ensuring a must-have Godzilla experience," said Keehwan Her, Producer, Atari.

Look for Godzilla: Unleashed this November.
