My First “Saved by S3″ Story

Posted in: Technology

Somehow the creation of the Share This/Share Icon forums seems to have corrupted a table in the forum database. Luckily, I’m backing up my database archives to S3.

  1. Connect to S3 via JungleDisk on my laptop
  2. Grab the backup
  3. Verify the table is ok
  4. Restore the corrupted table

That was much easier than trying to manually fix the corrupted data. :)
