FlickrFS for Linux

Gadgets & Tech – Flickrfs is a virtual filesystem which mounts on your linux machine like any other partition. Once mounted, it retrieves information about your photos hosted on your flickr account, and shows them as files. You can now easily copy photos from your local machine to this mount, and it will automatically upload them to your flickr account.

Universal Writ [Ubuntu and Brown]

Gadgets & Tech – What Richard told me was a simple truth that I had never really considered. He was born in Africa, and to him the color palette that he finds attractive and restful is different than the ones I do. The posit here then would be that at least in part, color preferences are based on your early experiences.

"By putting our software out there for free, it was a fantastic billboard for what we can do."

gNewSense 2.0 (deltah) Review

Gadgets & Tech – I still recommend it for anyone who wants a completely pure Linux version with the simplicity of Ubuntu. This can also be achieved by using Fedora, Debian, and Mandriva Free and not enabling any repositories containing non-free software. I'd recommend it to anyone who, as they say on LugRadio, Loves Freedom.

Gadgets & Tech – Faster time to Network/market through BitRock should enable more open-source companies to scale revenue faster which, in turn, should result in more open-source code being written. What's not to like?
