AbilityOne responsiveness to federal customer requirements was on display when Army soldiers in Alaska field-tested a new cold weather clothing system produced by AbilityOne during an accelerated six-month time frame. Employing people who are blind or have significant disabilities, AbilityOne nonprofit agencies produced a new five-layer Cold Temperature and Arctic Protection System (CTAPS) able to withstand temperatures as low as minus 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
