IMMORALITY AS FORMS OF DECEPTION Lying - Lying creates a web of self-deception. - Liars ultimately lie to themselves. Lust - Lust is a false promise for satisfaction. - Lust is satisfied with being unsatisfied. Thievery -Thieves have realized a principle of self-benefit - Therefore, thievery is really about false generosity. Temptation. - Eating food causes us to lose satisfaction with temptations - Therefore, there is a temptation to not be tempted. Cruelty - Cruelty involves a failure to understand others’ emotions. - Therefore, cruelty itself is an act of cruelty upon the cruel person.
