Car rental was one of the business entities in the field of four-wheeled vehicle/cars rental services. The information system for borrowing and returning cars in Lampung was considered effective because the data of borrowing and returning cars and the daily transactions were recorded and reported manually-in the written form such as books and paperso that this system was inefficient in terms of saving time, energy, and materials. The objective of this study was to build the website-based information system for car rental businesses in Lampung. The method used in this study was a structured approach method through the prototype development. The data collecting techniques used in this study was observation and interviews. The analysis and designing tools used in this study were the case diagrams, 0-levelled data flow diagrams, and 1-levelled flow diagrams. The supporting software used in this study was PHP and MySQL database. The sublime was an idea used to expanding the web application using PHP. This tool was facilitated to use to symbol, word, or line using a keyboard shortcut in a quick way. The result of this study was that the information system for borrowing and renting the car for car rental service was expected to facilitate the employees in managing the data of customers, borrowing and returning cars, and reducing errors from the data records and reports.

The purpose of implementing this application was for users to book a slot for car servicing by using the car service app. This paper explains the detailed development of a service for cars. This offers services that are more efficient, safe, affordable, and convenient services to everyone. In this current situation, the efficient and easy way to reach the people are by using social media and by using some mobile apps, and web pages. Another advantage is the customers need not invest their extra time to get the services. The services will be provided during their office timings and providing them more convenience by saving their time. Before implementing this concept was tested with a survey, which led to further analysis and positive responses. This application mostly saves time and human work free. Users can book the services at anytime and anywhere. This type of service is now growing very rapidly, and the booking system is used very easily and is more accessible. Now everywhere all are online services and just one click away. The car service app is allowed to book the slot for car service. By using this app, customers can book the service at their flexible time. It's a user-friendly application. In this application, customer data will store very securely. This app can be run on any android compatible tablet and mobile phone. The application can be used by any car holder to get their car services.

The Car Rental System is being developed for customers so that they can book their vehicles from any part of the world. This application takes information from the customers through filling their details. A customer being registered in the website has the facility to book a vehicle which he requires. The proposed system is completely integrated online systems. It automates manual procedure in an effective and efficient way. This automated system facilitates customers and provides them to fill up the details according to their requirements. It includes the type of vehicle they are trying to hire and location. The purpose of this system is to develop a web site for the people who can book their vehicles along with requirements from any part of the world.

Avis Indonesia has car rental system that is involving the customer's inquiries. They will fill out forms to rent a car. The form will be submitted to the office. After the verification process is completed, car and the driver information will be delivered through the system, along with rental history records. The research aims to build an online car rental system. The researcher used five stages development life cycle including planning, analysis, design, implementation and use, which utilized programming language of PHP 5.0 and version 5.1.30 MYSQL database. Based on the analysis, the information system could increase the time efficiency on average up to two days for delivering the car to customers, and a paper cost savings up to Rp. 750,000 in rental history records.

Editing adding and updating of records is improved which results in proper resource management of car data.
The automated motor vehicle management system is a system developed for managing the movement of vehicles in and out of an organization. Presently, movemnts of vehicles in most organisations are handled manually bythe security officials that are stationed at the gates. This system is associated with mismanaged data, inaccurate data or no data at all in some instances. Consequently, it is imperative to develop a computerized system to manage data taken from the large number of vehicles that move in and out of organisations in order to deal with cases of theft, proper monitoring of people and vehicles and to provide reliable information for decision making. The proposed system is a window based desktop application designed with Microsoft Access as the database management system under a visual studio environment, Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0. It was tested with data collected over a period of two months and it was able to improve the efficiency, security and professional look of the organization.

It is user friendly software that subjects to the objectives required of it.easy to go abou the system itself.
CHAPTER TWO PROBLEM DEFINITION
OVERVIEW OF THE SYSTEM
The development of car booking management system marks out the problems associated with older/traditional methods of handling data, which looks at;
INPUT
Use of files to store records, most written and kept into shelves as important records. The records kept in files are entered by personnel, which is susceptible to human errors.
DATA MANIPULATION
Data manipulation is carried by use of calculators across ledgers when tabulating information. Calculators are electronic but depend on human input to be carried out.
The use of calculators reduces errors as compared to basic calculation that ensures reduction in errors availed within the data manipulated for statistical use.
OUTPUT
The output of records is mostly in form of documented receipts and reports that are signed for authenticity and eligibility as proof.
When output is to be presented for statiscal analysis, drawn charts and diagrams are used that are seen to be bulky, most of the data is not well diagrammatically presented as some are manually drawn.
DISADVANTAGES OF CURRENT MANUAL SYSTEM
1. The use of files in customer registration may lead to poor storage due to wear and tear of the files. 2. There is the duplication of tasks, may occur when using file in recording data, this may not prove useful. 3. There could be loss of files and records of the customer and other data haven't been kept, since they are very vulnerable to theft or damage. 4. There may be errors during data input, that may be during entering records, and errors lead to false output when reporting data.
ADVANTAGES OF COMPUTERISED SYSTEM
1. There will be better records management; since all data is stored in the computer hence there's reduced use of stationery saving on the costs of stationery that would have incurred had they not considered this option. 2. There is proper security of data as the data stored in computers can be easily password protected to avoid cases of theft. 3. Here human errors are reduced since the input of data is computerized hence mistakes are not easily made once most staff have done IT training in obtaining computer skills. 4. There is proper output of data hence all records can be easily accounted for in printed reports hence ensuring proper accountability and transparency of data.
SOLUTION TO CURRENT MANUAL SYSTEM
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
-Staff training to be computer literate.
-Purchasing of good computers.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
-Enforce use of passwords in computers and applications.

For the development of this computerized system the following outputs are required;

Fee paid by the student The outputs will be recognized as tabulated data; also reports can be taken up to trace all needed output to ensure accountability of the computerized functions of the system.

The proposed system is of significance to users of car booking management system. The system has fulfilled all the objectives set out in the requirements specifications despite the challenges passed.
The achievements outlines that computers are much faster than manual operations initially done by the staff and hence faster speed of processing ensured efficient workflow.
