Lectures in Criticism: Tiya Miles on “Species Insurance: Black Women, Survival Craft, and Environmental Storytelling”
In this talk, part of the BU Arts & Sciences Lectures in Criticism series, Tiya Miles, the Michael Garvey Professor of History at Harvard University and a Radcliffe Alumnae Professor at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, poses a thought experiment that asks what would happen if Harriet Tubman was centered in an environmental story.

HYENA Concert at the ICA
Featuring a score by Austrian composer Georg Friedrich Haas, HYENA is a concerto for orchestra and narrator that tells the autobiographical story of his American wife, Mollena Lee Williams-Haas, and her journey from alcohol addiction to sobriety. The performance is coproduced by the BU Center for New Music and the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston.

The Bugs Bunny Film Festival
Now in its second weekend, this Brattle Theatre tradition features Looney Tunes favorites and beloved characters like Daffy Duck, Taz, Tweety, Yosemite Sam, and, of course, Bugs Bunny—all on 35mm.
