Frosting Snowballs

Adorable chocolate covered cake balls with our signature frosting baked-in.

INGREDIENTS
  • Your favorite box yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 c Cinnabon® Signature Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 1 lb. melting chocolate (use white for snowballs!)
  • Vegetable oil
  • Decorations (sprinkles, colored sugar,
    mini chocolate chips, etc.)
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Prepare & bake cake per box instructions. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Break cake into pieces & combine with frosting in mixing bowl until softened. Stir in sprinkles if desired.
  3. Use a tablespoon, melon baller or cookie scoop to scoop out cake mixture. Shape into balls.
  4. Place cake balls in refrigerator & allow to chill completely.
  5. Add 1tbsp. vegetable oil to the chocolate and melt over a double boiler or microwave. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
  6. Remove cake balls from refrigerator & place each on a skewer to dip into the chocolate. Allow most of the chocolate to run off the cake ball leaving only a thin coat.
  7. Carefully place cake ball on waxed paper & remove skewer.
  8. Decorate cake ball with sprinkles, chocolate chips or colored sugar before the chocolate hardens.
  9. Repeat until all cake balls are decorated.

  • Tablespoon
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Rubber spatula
  • Glass bowls/double boiler (or a microwave)
  • Wooden skewers
  • Waxed paper
