Bio

Meghan assists in the protection and dissemination of intellectual property arising from University research.

Prior to coming to CMU in 2014, Meghan practiced intellectual property law. While practicing law, Meghan prepared and prosecuted patent applications in mechanical, chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and materials science arts; worked as a U.S. filing, prosecution associate for foreign originated patent applications; drafted and interpreted licensing, assignment, and other agreements; conducted legal research and drafted memoranda to colleagues and clients; and drafted litigation documents.  During law school, Meghan interned with CTTEC, and was drawn to the law at the forefront of innovation.

Meghan has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
