The Microsoft Imaging Academy at College of DuPage provides students with latest in Microsoft system technology skills for the digital world. Through the Academy, students will learn how to install and customize the Microsoft Windows operating system and applications, integrate and control access to domains and cloud services, and migrate and synchronize settings across multiple devices.
Courses will teach students how to implement customize configurations using Windows management tools like Group Policy and Windows PowerShell and how to configure user settings and profiles, local and remote network connectivity, and Hyper-V and virtual applications.
At the end of training, students will have mastered the skills required to be a consultant, full-time desktop support technician, or IT generalist who administers Windows workstations and servers.
Microsoft Certifications
These hands-on Microsoft certification training courses qualify students to pursue a number of industry-standard Microsoft certified certifications, such as MCSA: Windows 10 and MCSA: Windows Server 2012.
Microsoft MCSA: Windows 10 certification is an internationally accepted industry credential that demonstrates expertise in configuring, managing, and maintaining a Windows 10 enterprise system. Career concentrations that benefit from MCSA: Windows 10 training include: consultant, full-time desktop support technician, and IT generalist who administers Windows 10. Additionally, earning the MCSA certification is the first step toward eventually becoming a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
The Microsoft MCSA: Windows 10 program consists of two courses within the Computer and Information Technology (CIT) program:
- CIT 1612, Windows PC Desktop Operating Systems, 3 credit hours
- CIT 1613, Enterprise Desktop PC Support Technician, 3 credit hours
Microsoft MCSA: Windows Server 2016 certification is an international industry credential that demonstrates expertise in configuring, managing, and maintaining a Windows Server 2016 enterprise system. Career concentrations that benefit from MCSA: Windows Server 2016 training include: consultant, full-time desktop support technician, or IT generalist who administers Windows Server 2016. Additionally, earning the MCSA certification is the first step toward eventually becoming a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
The Microsoft MCSA: Windows Server 2016 program consists of three courses within the Computer and Information Technology (CIT) program:
- CIT 1710, Introduction to Servers, 3 credit hours
- CIT 2510, Advanced Server 2012 Administration, 3 credit hours
