The forecast calls for an increased chance for above average rainfall across much of southern Africa in the areas encompassing northern and central Mozambique, Malawi, eastern Zambia, southern Namibia, the western and southern areas of South Africa, and local areas in southern Angola, southern Botswana, and northern Zimbabwe. There is an increased chance for below average rainfall over southern Mozambique, Swaziland, and local areas in northeastern South Africa as well as northern Namibia.
