David Dudgeon is the Data Management and IT Coordinator in ERS's Food Economics Division (FED). He supports the division's IT and data programs, especially the National Household Food Acquisition and Purchase Survey (FoodAPS) and Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) data programs. David works with the Deputy Director for Data to improve data infrastructure.

David joined ERS in 2020 as a Data Management and IT Coordinator. He previously worked for two USDA agencies. He was a Risk Management Specialist with the Risk Management Agency (RMA) where he worked with the crop insurance team helping provide farmers with crop insurance and implement Farm Bill changes as they apply to crop insurance. Also, David worked with the USDA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) as a Management and Programs Specialist and managed IT and support contracts.
