Sprouts are one of Mothers Nature’s wonder foods. These little nutritional powerhouses are bursting with essential nutrients and living enzymes that our bodies need for good health and optimal digestion. Most edible seeds, legumes, grains and nuts can be sprouted. It is an excellent way to enhance the nutritional goodness of seeds and improve their digestibility and nutrient bioavailability; ie, the degree to which the body can absorb and utilise nutrients.

Nutrient boost

When you soak seeds they start to sprout or germinate, which boosts their nutritional value significantly. Vitamin C content can increase up to 200 times after sprouting. Typically, around five days after sprouting the sprouts will be at their peak concentration of nutrients.
