Covid holds lessons for pursuit of social justice

IT IS commonly believed that the Covid-19 recovery period is a great global reset moment.
Indeed the global reset narrative was the buzz phrase during the latest World Economic Forum in Davos.
But truth be told, in South Africa, the great reset moment was 27 years ago when non-racial elections were held on the basis of the interim Constitution of 1993. Two years later, the current Constitution was adopted as a blueprint for the South Africa we chose to become.
The Constitution is a democracy blueprint whose virtues continue to be extolled globally even though there are more recent constitutions.
