TV BLACK MIRROR
In its most unpredictable season yet, the award-winning dystopian series is set to surprise when it returns to screens. But one thing you certainly can expect from the new episodes is an A-list roster of actors, including Salma Hayek, Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Michael Cera and Rory Culkin. Hayek stars in the episode ‘Joan Is Awful’, where an average woman (Schitt’s Creek’s Annie Murphy) discovers that a Netflix-style global streaming platform has launched a drama based on her life, in which she is played by the actress. “I play both an exaggerated version of myself and of Joan,” Hayek explains. Meanwhile, for Tran’s co-host Cal Wilson, the call of cake was enough for her to sign up. “I mean – have you watched the show? It’s a dream job,” the comedian, 52, explains. “All you have to do is make jokes, and eat cakey things … the cakey things part isn’t compulsory, but I’m very dedicated to it!”
Here, the delightful duo chat to us about bringing their “eating skills” to the beloved baking show…
