The strong friendship between the three main characters is a highlight, as they support each other through challenges and celebrate happy times. The pacing of the book is well-done, with twists and turns sprinkled throughout. The story reminds readers of the importance of having close friends who accept and love each other, while also allowing for personal growth. Overall, this book is a great way to spend a few hours and leaves readers hoping for a third installment.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great Sunday read about sisterhood, love and forgiveness. No big plot twist but entertaining
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Ms. Hickman’s book ? reminded me of the importance of having sister-girls in my life. Sisters who know each other’s flaws and still love the individual and don’t let go of each other. This book ? embraces love ? that doesn’t try to fix you; while leaving room for self evolution and a bond that remained ℹ breakable during the times it was needed the most.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved this sequel to The Other Side which was the first book. Tess, Bernadette and Arizona had such a strong friendship. They were always there for each other. Book did not end as I expected so I’m hoping for a third book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5In this sequel to Hickman's previous book 'The Other Side' we follow three friends - Bernadette, Arizona and Tess as they navigate challenges in their relationships. Each woman over the course of the novel is forced to confront things about themselves and they help each other to get through difficult times as well as to celebrate happy times.
The pacing of this book is really good with enough twists and turns to keep things interesting; these were sprinkled throughout the book and not just all loaded in at the end. I found the story thoroughly entertaining and a great way to pass a few hours.
