Am I Me?

About this ebook
An eclectic collection of poetry, words, thoughts and feelings about life, food, creatures, family, and other random things that popped into my subconscious. And I also observed and listened to other things too. Well, it helps really.
Andrew Szymanski
Having lived in London all my life, I have met and interacted with many wonderful characters, seen lots of normal, strange, and weird things, and have worked (sadly some might say) in IT for over 25 years. And from all this experience of life (so far), I have found a wealth of inspiration for the vast majority of the poetry and stories I write. I currently live in Surrey with my wife Nela, my daughter Isadora, and I am forever rescuing them from spiders, flying insects, and other creepies that always suddenly appear. I also have a black cat called Rory who does his best to help me catch things.

Devoid
I see the world in a perspex box
And I am outside looking in
The suffering I create is within my soul
The only release comes from my dreams.
And as I smash my fist against the wall
The earth it shakes but continues to turn
The release of pain is all I have left
But still the walls push me away.
Grief
The closeness of my mother’s touch
My father running his fingers through my hair
I miss their presence around my life
If there is a God then it is not fair.
