Innocence Lost
I dedicate this book to my family
To my mother—I finally understand your journey, which also has not always been easy, and I know you love me.
To my amazing niece, for having such innocence and showing me such true love.
To my children, my angels, for picking me as their mother. You are the reason I found such strength to live and love life, by watching how you live your lives, and for that I will be forever grateful.
In Memory of My Best Friend
My longest relationship ever with a male was with my dog of twelve years. He had to be euthanized because of an illness. I took this very hard. The only constant thing in my life, he always said good-bye and then greeted me at the door when I returned. His love was unconditional. He had no idea he was a little guy. He thought he was big and captured many hearts.
You will forever be missed, Harley.

Preface
T his is a book about my journey to find my life’s purpose and achieve inner peace. After years of wondering why me , I have had to take another look and change why me to I was meant to learn and help others .
I wrote this book to help anyone who has been abused, so that you too can get past the pain and find inner peace—and most importantly, know that you are not alone.
I hope my story can help people see that their journey is worth it—that they are worth it. To see the good in what they learned instead of seeing only the pain.
We all can overcome difficult times in our lives and find that inner peace we so desire. I hope the amazing people who read about my journey can see the positive in their lives now, in their twenties and thirties, and not have to wait until their forties like I did.
God has a perfect plan for us.
He never does it all at once.
Just step by step
Because he wants to teach us
To walk by faith, not by sight.
