Meditation is something that is natural for some people. Meditation is something that is difficult for others. Meditation is something that can be learned. Meditation is something that is achievable. Meditation is something that is an individual experience.
Let me tell you my story about meditation. How I began to meditate and believe in the wonderful powers meditation offers.
Before I even began to meditate, I had met several psychics and many spiritual people with gifts of their own. About eight years ago, over about 6 months, three different psychics told me, I am going to teach meditation. My belief of meditation back then was about lying down and being quiet and still. I laughed as I found this to be very amusing. People who know me also found this to be amusing too. Let me explain this reaction.
I have a form of hyperactivity. I cannot sit still for long periods of time, I get a twitch at times because I cannot settle, although this twitch mainly happens when I am stressed or I have been on the go for too long. I fidget almost all the time. I do everything fast. I am one of these people who can focus on 10 things at once without confusion. My body automatically wakes up in 6 hours or less. I talk fast all the time, and even faster when I have been on the go for too long or stressed. When this happens not everyone is able to understand my speech. I also talk in very long sentences and many people tell me to take a breath, this is more so they can process what I have said before I continue, as well as them fearing I will pass out from talking without breathing (I never have). My hands are always in my way, I have to do something with them – they spend a lot of time in my pockets, or I cross my arms. Now can you see the humour of me of all people meditating, lying down and being still and quiet for any duration of time?
It was a couple of years later I was told by another person I should meditate and I will be surprised. I did a guided meditation at home and I was surprised, I actually fell asleep. My body was just so relaxed. I did not consciously listen to the meditation but by body decided to take a break. My mind did not follow suit and decided it wanted to wonder. As a result, I unconsciously awakened a previous life memory. It was something I did already have knowledge about, but it was not something I needed to bring to the surface.
Because of my previous experience and how relaxed I felt,
