About this ebook
I use my own version of the Jow Ga Kung Fu system. I am very strong, I have size, balance and mobility. I have fought strong fighters, from several systems, and I am undefeated.”
The woman asks, “Then you can use hand held weapons?
“I can use any of the traditional Kung Fu weapons at Master level. I can also use a couple of non traditional weapons. Of course unarmed, I can’t defeat an opponent armed with a firearm, at range.”
The woman says, “Impressive. However the thief has at least one unusual skill. I can defeat the thief, using the unusual skill. You can not.”
Night Killer says, “I have a couple of unusual skills myself and I just might surprise you.”
The woman asks, “You have no problem, with killing people?”
Night Killer sighs, “I don’t kill people at random. The kind of jobs that I get often require me to kill people, in order to get the job done. I don’t hesitate, I don’t worry about the deaths. Alas. the police do worry.”
The woman Says, “We have a lot of work to do, My name is Novara, what do I call you?”
Night Killer laughs, “Since there may be people looking for me, after we get the job done, just call me Ed, as long as we work together.”
Novara says, “The place that we can start the search is called the Ziennian Fellowship Hall.”
Night Killer nods yes, “I know where the place is located. I know little more than that about the place. Let’s go. With that, Ed drives to the Ziennian Fellowship Hall and finds a parking spot on the street, not too far from the front door.”
Novara and Ed get out of the car. Ed says, “The area is not good, The Ziennian Fellowship Hall has a nasty reputation for violence. Be on your guard.”
Novara says, “Unfortunately, this is where the trail of the thief starts.”
We walk up to the front door. I open the door and some goon reaches out and grabs Novara. I cuff the goon upside the head and then tend to a second goon who thinks to draw a pistol. (I’m six foot four inches tall and I have what the basketball people call length. My foot lashes out and hits the second goon’s face. As the second goon falls, his pistol drops and I grab it, from mid air. I hit a third goon in the face, with the butt of the pistol. Third goon does a sort of toothless back flip. I glance at Novara and the first goon, to see if she needs help. Novara doesn’t need help, maybe the goon does, but he doesn’t pay me. I turn to face a fourth goon, who comes out of the back. The fourth goon has an assault rifle.) I move, at speed, toward the fourth goon, telling him, “I can squeeze off a shot before you can raise your rifle into position.” (The fourth goon hesitates for just a second or so. I put the pistol into what we call the dental position and the goon goes down, hard. I scoop up the assault rifle.) I face a back room, housing a few guys reaching for a pistol. I ask, “You wanna die, group rate?”
The guys don’t want to die, not even at group rate.
About that time, Novara tells the guys, “Ed is my new partner. He doesn’t write or read. If he kills all of you and sets the building on fire, I have to fill out a lot of -paper work. I hate paper work. Just stay calm and I don’t need to fill out paper work. Tell the police that a motorcycle gang burst in here and beat some of your people up.”
“Ed, if you shoot the boys, I will have to fill out paper work. If you shoot the boys, your evaluation is going to look very bad.” I turn and walk out of the Ziennian Fellowship Hall, taking my time. (Ed follows me out, obviously trying and failing to understand why he can’t shoot the boys.)
We get out in the street and Ed walks with an assault rifle tucked up against his leg. I tell him, “I can tell if the boys try to follow us.”
Night Killer says, “Well and good, but let’s not waste any time.” He unlocks the passenger side door. Then quickly walks around and gets into the driver’s seat. We then drive off, in no particular hurry, but wasting no time.

I'm the co-author, with Sunset Thomas, of Anatomy of An Adult Film.I have 48 novels and over 299 short stories currently published.I spent my early years in the part of Los Angeles known as the South Central. I was known as Whi' Boy, which was sufficient to indentify me in that place. I'm a skilled kung-fu player, using a system that I learned from a Korean I knew only as 'Pak.' It would be easier to tell you the places that Pak wasn't wanted by the police, rather than the places where he was wanted by the police. Pak's kung-fu system, augmented by some bits and pieces from some Chinese practicioners is quick and effective, or I wouldn't be alive today. My early education was mostly obtained by stealing books from the public library (I always returned them and the Librarian even began to provide me with reading lists.) I did go to high schools, but I never really learned anything there. I eventually graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, UCLA, with a degree in mathematics.I work as a Systems Analyst and also make a part of my living as a professional gambler (legal in Nevada.) I write science fiction and erotica. My published novels are:Anatomy of An Adult Film (With Sunset Thomas)1. Second Chance: God Killer2. Second Chance: Sky Pirate3. Second Chance: Scroll Seeker4. Night Killer

I meet Night Killer at the edge of a park. He’s maybe six feet four inches tall and he appears to be in excellent physical shape. He radiates, Get in my way and I walk on your face.
He’s dressed in gray clothes that blend in well with the night city. I tell him, I was to meet Night Killer here.
He says, That’s the name that I use for my work. I was in the army. I was assigned to infiltrate enemy positions. I looked nothing like the enemy. I could get in close to the enemy, only in the dark of night. By the time that the enemy discovered that I was not one of them, I was close enough to do what I had to do.
I tell the man, apparently the local police think that you may be involved in some night time killings in the area.
The man says, So I have heard. I need to relocate soon. I was offered a job that will earn me enough money to finance my relocation.
I tell the man, I work for the people that offered you the job.
The man then tells me, Lets go to my office and discuss the matter.
I ask, Where is your office?
The man laughs, Just down the street.
We walk down a dark street until the man opens the passenger side door of a plain Jane sedan. I get in. The man walks around and gets in the driver’s side. He starts the engine and then drives down dark streets. He tells me, I was told that a male had obtained something that belongs to the people who you work for. Your people want the something back.
I lecture the man, The something is very important to the people that I work for, but nothing that the man can just sell through normal channels.
The man says, "That leaves me with the problem of
