    Chapter 1

    (October 2nd, 2014 6:45am)

It was a beautiful Tuesday morning; Debo was just getting up at 6:45am. He slid out of bed and went into the restroom to freshen up, and from there he went down to breakfast.

Something smells delicious down here, he said, to his wife and two children when he got to the bottom of the stairs.

It’s’ breakfast daddy, mommy cooked it, D-Shonna said.

D-Shonna is Debo and Shelly’s six-year-old daughter. They nicknamed her, ‘Shonna’. There is also their son, D-Angelo L. Jackson the third, nicknamed, D-Trey.

What do you mean…, you didn’t make breakfast this morning, Shonna baby? Debo asked, jokingly.

No daddy, I let mommy do it for me today. I’ll fix it for you next time daddy…, okay, Shonna seriously said.

Okay, Shonna baby, I’m gonna trust you okay? Debo teased.

Okay daddy, you can trust me. I like making your food daddy. I’m going to cook like mommy when I get bigger, D-Shonna told her dad.

Everybody got a pretty good laugh out of it, even D-Trey; their five-year-old son. Shelly had fixed eggs, Canadian bacon, home-made hash brown potatoes, juice, milk, and coffee. Even Rex had a good meal. After everyone ate and got full. D-Shonna helped Shelly in the kitchen while Debo went outside to give Rex a pat on his side, and to say good morning; with D-Trey at his heels. Debo and Shelly decided to go ahead and have kids. That’s one good thing about retirement; you have family time. Shelly didn’t want to stay at the Shell-Debo after all the chaos there a few years ago. She kept it but she just couldn’t stay there anymore. Debo bought a ranch out in Sacramento, California and named it, The Ranch Debo. Everyone loved it, even Rex. He loves the massive amount of land he as at his disposal, with room to run, roam, and play, at-will. Debo converted a garden tool shed, into a custom-made dog house for Rex. It was constructed of beaverboard and plywood. The outside was made of a very rich, high grade aluminum-based fiberglass. It was equipped with air for the summer months, and heat for the winter months. He installed concrete dish holders, with run-off grates for water and excess food waste. And an automatic water dispenser. He traded in the Explorer for a Navigator long ago, that way he, Rex, and D-Trey could still have their man days out. The girls went with them occasionally. It was a bunch of fun for everyone. To add to his collection, he bought a Cadillac Escalade for the family. He kept the bikes they used at Robert Cruse’s night club in South Los Angeles. He kept a few more of the many cars he has. He had already talked to Shelly and let her know that just like before, he will be coming home to her and their two kids, especially with so much more to come home to now. She trusted his word and his promise, as usual. Long as he calls her as much as he can, to let her know that he’s okay, she can get through this…, she’s a very strong lady. It’s weird how for Debo and Mad-C, chaos seems to be seasonal; like bad things only happen at certain times of the year. It’s getting close to that time again. Seven years later and it’s happening again. Debo was awakened by Mad-C’s phone call.

    (8:45am)

It’s Sunday morning…, you got something? Debo growled into the phone, after he answered it.

No, I just didn’t want you to get any sleep…, but seriously, when can you make it out here? Mad-C asked Debo.

If you didn’t need me today, especially this early then you wouldn’t be calling me. I’m on the next thing smoking. Let me let, Shell know and I’m there, Debo added.

Mad-C had his shipping dock restored, remodeled, and sold it for $180,000,000.00. (One Hundred Eighty Million Dollars). He practically gave it away. Debo, Freddy, and Mad-C were at Mad-C’s estate. Debo wasn’t expecting Freddy to be there, but he did recall Mad-C telling him that he had called Freddy in on this job.

Have you talked to, Joy, Freddy? I know she’ll want to be out there watching over me, and I’m sure I made myself perfectly clear when I told her that she is not…, under any circumstances, going back to that kind of work, Debo preached.

I think she’s aware of that; she did want to be a part of it. It’s just that…, that’s how close she is to you in her heart. ‘If her brother is out there, then she’s out there’. You know how she thinks, and you know how she feels about you, Freddy said, in Joy’s defense.

Yeah…, I’ll talk to her…, but I don’t know…, I just don’t want her out there again that’s all. She almost got killed twice. I just don’t want her out there again…, that’s all, Debo said, with stern authority.

Let me talk to her, I’m sure she’ll listen to me, Freddy suggested.

She’ll listen to me too, but no problem. I’m sure you can handle it. So, are you good to go if we need you, Freddy? I mean without, Joy, Mad-C asked.

I’m good to go if you don’t need me, with or without her, Freddy responded.

Ok guys, I’ve got some guys out there with eyes and ears open, we should know something soon. I don’t know if, Warwick’s already out or not, but I’m sure it won’t be too long. Does, Shelly know? Mad-C asked Debo.

It came up a couple of years ago. She understands the fact that, Warwick is not going to just go away. I told her that he’ll most likely come looking for the money when he gets out. She knows it’s going down; she just doesn’t know when yet. I’ll let her know when I get home, Debo explained.

They sat and talked a while longer, while they waited for the others to arrive. Debo decided to go ahead and stay at the Shell-Debo until they can figure something else out. The ranch in Sacramento is very heavily guarded, with state-of-the-art security equipment and private security personal to protect his family twenty-four hours a day…, seven days a week.

Cosmo, Tommy and Jeffery arrived at Mad-C’s estate. Freddy was already there. Mad-C had taken the precaution of calling one of his military friends and ordering some more powerful and more lethal weapons. Mad-C had the 44-magnum he always uses around or during wartime. Freddy had his 357-magnum that he trusts to guard his life. Debo of curse had, ‘Crazy’; his glock-45 automatic pistol. They were all ready to get some work done.

Well…, is everybody ready for this? Freddy asked, starting the conversation.

We all knew this was bound to happen, and, Mad-C…, you did give us some rather expensive Christmas gifts, so this one is on the house, Debo said.

Those were Christmas presents, Debo your lives were at stake then, just like they are now. But I don’t need to tell you that, do I? Mad-C reminded him.

We’ve been through too much for too long, and I can’t see us not doing this together. And like, Freddy said…, ‘I’m good to go even if you don’t need me’. Now…, do we have a problem? Because if we have a problem…, let me know, Debo questioned.

No…, No problem at all, welcome back aboard, Mad-C answered.

Thank you…, now what’s the plan? Debo asked.

Well we don’t know if he’s out yet or not, so we wait. I’ll need for all of you to stand-by, and stay alert, Mad-C advised.

Ok I’m going to get on over to the house. We’ll talk tomorrow, Debo said, then walked out the door and to his car.

He got to his Escalade and sat there for a minute thinking about what he had told Mad-C during their meeting. About them being friends, family, and a team for so many years. He figured that, had it not been for Mad-C, he may have wind-up in an alley someplace over-dosed or murdered by a crackhead, or for taking someone’s shit. Debo was at his lowest, and he has been through a hell-of-a-lot of lows, until he met Mad-C. Then he thought about how Mad-C gave him a life that he never thought possible for himself. How he was always there for him and his loved ones and never once complained. Never asked for anything in return but the love, respect, and the loyalty that he gave to him and his family. As well as being a self-proclaimed Uncle of D-Shonna Monique Jackson (six), D-Angelo L. Jackson the third (five), Freddy Moss Junior (seven), Tammy Hernandez (nineteen) and Tammy’s sister; Sheila Hernandez (twenty-one).

The (R&R); Receiving and release area was crowded as usual. There were inmates in little cages, (aka) holding cells waiting for the correctional officers to finally release them and let them back out into society. Donald Warwick was one of those inmates. He had just served seven years in Terminal Island’s Federal Penitentiary for embezzlement, defrauding political contribution funds, and tax evasion. They couldn’t get him for Gregory Johnson’s murder. Debo and Mad-C was positive he did it…, but those were the breaks. He was ordered to pay $50,000.000.00. (Fifty Million Dollars) in restitution fees, for the crimes he committed in and against the county of Los Angeles, California. He didn’t just want the $150, 000.000.00 the police got when he was arrested. He wanted the whole ‘Three Hundred Million Dollars’ back from Mad-C and Debo; at whatever the cost. He also wants to kill him and Debo, for being responsible for his imprisonment for the last seven years of his life.

Warwick found a nice three-story townhome in Ventura, California. He decided to stay there until he got his money back. He just wanted someplace to lay low for as long as this will take.

Mad-C didn’t want Pauline back out there working again either. Although they did need a female or two to work with them. Jeffery decided to go back to work. The money was good, and he was thinking of remodeling the pool hall; maybe adding a second floor and putting a bar, and maybe a dining-room, and kitchen up there. It’ll draw in a better class of people than he’s been getting, considering he’s still in Inglewood. There’s a lot of money in downtown Inglewood, California’s business district, and Jeffery Smith was determined to get his share of it.

I know a couple of ladies that can use some cash and some excitement. They wanted to work for me as security at the pool hall, but I couldn’t afford them. They know everybody in the neighborhood. I can tell you that there’s one thing they weren’t…, and that is prostitutes. Good girls…, real-good girls. They’re going to make some lucky man a very happy fella one day, Jeffery complimented.

Yeah, but these guys won’t be playing around. I don’t need security guards, I need soldiers, Debo advised.

I wouldn’t bring you some off the road ass workers to the team, Debo, Jeffery said, in his own defense.

I know you won’t just bring anybody from off the streets to the team, but they had better be good, Debo warned.

Jeffery is a good worker; I don’t think you should have to worry about the ladies he has for the team. He and I worked together on the last job, Freddy reminded Debo.

Jeffery kept his word and the girls proved themselves worthy of Mad-C’s and Debo’s approval. They were just what the team needed.

Donald Warwick has a lot of very powerful friends in politics, and a lot of (IOUs) within the government. The only ones he doesn’t have yet are FBI Agents and Federal Judges. It was time for him to pull in some markers and cash in on some favors.

The ringtone on Debo’s cell phone interrupted him, as he relaxed on his sofa, watching the morning news. He answered the phone and wasn’t surprised to learn that it was Shelly. She had called to say hello, and to see how things were going.

Hey love, I just called to see how you were getting along out there without me, Shelly told Debo.

Every time she hears from her husband, she experiences a sense of comfort and relief in her heart and in her mind, just knowing that her husband is alive and well.

Hey love, everything is comfortable as of now. How are things going there with you sweetheart? Debo asked

Secure…, very secure. You don’t play around, do you?

Not when it comes to my wife and kids baby…, no I don’t.

After they talked for a while longer, Shelly said,

Ok my love…, Shonna said, ‘she hasn’t forgotten the breakfast she promised to fix for you’. D-Trey is kind of disappointed, he misses you guy’s man’s day out activities. Oh..., and Rex…, poor, Rex. He’s really climbing the walls, but otherwise we’re all good here baby. You just please hurry home alive and well. Do you think you can do that for me? Shelly enquired, with a sad but hopeful heart.

I will my love, you just stay sweet for me okay, Debo encouraged.

Ok baby…, and one more thing, Shelly continued.

What’s that precious, Debo softly asked.

You are still retired from the drug business…, right? Shelly questioned.

Baby I give you my word as a man, that I’m only doing Mister Write a favor. This has nothing to do with selling drugs, and that is my word of honor. No more drug selling, okay baby, Debo promised.

He had given her his word, and his word was more than enough for her. She was now at peace within herself, knowing that her husband, the love of her soul is safe and alive. They said their goodbye’s, then ended their call with mocked kisses and imaginary hugs.

Debo’s ringtone alerted him to an incoming call. He answered the phone and it was Mad-C.

Have you heard the news, Mad-C asked Debo.

No…, I guess I have to get used to keeping up with it again… huh? Debo replied.

Meet me at my place this evening about 8:00pm, Mad-C said, in a rather stern tone of voice.

Okay…, I’ll be there at 8:00pm, Debo confirmed.

There was something wrong. Warwick has been out for about a week now and they haven’t heard a word from him. This must be, The quite before the storm. Debo was at the Shell Debo thinking that it probably won’t be a bad idea to go ahead and sale the estate. It’s seen its share of just about everything. After thinking about it, he realized Shelly will never live there again. He finally decided to go ahead and get rid of it. He knew that after whatever is about to happen is over with, there won’t be any use for it. He figured he would sale the land also, and stay in The State’s Capital, Sunny (Sack-Town) Sacramento, California.

    (4:30pm)

Debo had just finished a late lunch or an early dinner.

    STIR-FRIED RAMAN NOODLES.

    2pk of top Raman noodles

1/4 pound of ground beef or (meat of choice)

    Bell peppers. (Chopped)

    Onions. (Chopped)

    Clove garlic. (Chopped)

Heat ¼ cup oil in a medium frying pan; lightly season ground meat, onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Reduce heat and, let simmer until meat and vegetables are done; drain grease. Add cooked noodles (drained), seasoning packs, and one tablespoon of soy sauce … (optional). Stir frequently for 3-5 minutes, then serve. Makes two four 4oz. servings.

He remembered teaching Shelly how to fix it. Now you can’t keep her away from stir-fried Ramen noodles. He went into the bathroom to freshen up so he could go see what Mad-C wanted to see him about. He laid back on his king size bed, fully clothed, and rested the back of his head in the palms of his hands and thought back to all the fun and exciting moments he and Shelly shared there; the warm intimate moments, the good times, and the bad times, the fear and pain associated with his occupation/hustle. And now history is about to repeated itself.

His phone vibrated on his bedside table; letting him know that someone was trying to reach him.

Did Mister Write tell you about the meeting we’re having at his place? Freddy asked Debo, when he called him, bringing him out of his period of reminiscence.

Yeah, Freddy he asked me to come by his place at about 8:00 or 8:30 this evening. He said, he wanted to talk to me about something, but he didn’t mention a meeting, Debo told him.

I guess he meant he wanted just us to meet with him. What do you think it’s about? Freddy asked Debo.

I’m pretty sure it has something to do with, Warwick, Debo answered.

Debo had already informed all the men that he didn’t want any of the girls involved in any of this, so that no harm could come to either of them, including Pauline. Over the past seven years, Freddy and Joy had a son, Jeffery and Molly had twins, Mad-C and Pauline had a girl, and Debo and Shelly had a girl and a boy. They were all around the same age, five through seven. And there was Joy’s nineteen and twenty-one-year-old girls, by a previous relationship.

    (8:00pm)

Debo, Jeffery, Freddy, and Mad-C, all met at Mad-C’s estate. They sat out back on his patio, just a few yards from his larger than life pool where he holds some of his home meetings when the weather is right.

Gentlemen…, I appreciate you all coming. This is more of a get together than a meeting. Is there anyone who needs a drink or anything? Mad-C offered.

Yeah…, I’ll have something light, Jeffery answered.

Me too…, you know what I drink, Debo answered.

I’ll have a little something light, Mister Write, Freddy rhymed, without trying to.

You’re good, Freddy…, real good. Here’s what I asked you guys here for this evening. My people are telling me that, Warwick is out and has been out for about a week now. Now as we all know, he could be…, let me rephrase that. He will be coming after the money. He knows a lot of very powerful and rich people also. We might have a tough time with him, but keep in mind, we are also very rich and powerful. He’s going to most likely try a sneak attack, so, be on your ‘P’s and ‘Q’s out there. We don’t know when or how he’s coming, but he is indeed coming. I want everybody to move out here, or someplace away from the women and children. The only thing we go to Los Angeles for is business, not to visit wives and kids. We don’t want to bring any harm to them. This shouldn’t take as long as it did with those idiots that worked for or with, Gregory Johnson. I’m sure, Warwick will want to get the money and be done with it, Mad-C informed the other three men.

Is the floor open for questions and concerns Mr. Write? Jeffery asked.

Jeffery speak your mind, I said this is not a meeting?

Well sir…, not knowing where, Warwick is or when he’s watching; do you think it would be safe to tie up some lose ends, or do we do that by phone? Jeffery enquired.

Were you paying attention, Jeffery? I just told you that I think it would be a bit risky to do so now; If by lose ends…, you mean wives and kids, Mad-C answered.

Yes sir, that is what I had in mind, Jeffery dumbfoundedly informed him.

Jeffery…, you didn’t get you a piece before you came here? Freddy teased.

I think it would be a good idea to move the wives and kids, Debo. I’m sure, Warwick was watching everything we did and everywhere we went. He was watching all of us including, Johnson and his boys back then, Mad-C advised.

Yeah…, you do have a point boss, Debo agreed.

Ok, I want everybody to go and do what you have to do and be back here first thing Monday morning. And Debo…, don’t you think it’s about time you stop calling me boss? Mad-C asked, with a puzzled look on his face.

Yeah, it does sound kinda wired doesn’t it? It just stuck with me over the years, Debo explained, after giving it a second thought.

‘Mad-C is good…, just call me, Mad-C," Mad-C told Debo.

I’ve been calling you, Mad-C, but old habits are hard to brake. So, Mad-C it is big fella, Debo agreed.

Jeffery are the two girls you recruited ready to go to work? Mad-C asked Jeffery.

As ready as they’ll ever be sir, he responded.

Ok…, we might have to rent them a place that they can share here in town, Mad-C stated.

But do you think we can find them a place on such short notice? Jeffery asked.

Money talks..., you can bring them with you when you come Monday morning, Jeffery. Tell them to get everything they’ll need for at least a couple of months and tell them to be ready to go to work, Mad-C added.

    Will do sir, Jeffery responded.

The meeting went on for about an hour longer. Mad-C called for a break, to give everyone a chance to stretch their legs. Jeffery walked up to Debo and said,

Hey, Debo…, what are you going to do with the Shell-Debo now that you have the ranch? Freddy said that, ‘you might sale it’. If you do decide to sale it, I’ll buy it from you. I want to convert it into a rehab center for people who are trying to kick drugs. I mean I’ve been there and it’s no joke, Debo. That shit will have yo ass and it won’t let go. I just want to do something good to help those out there that are willing and trying to kick drug addiction, Jeffery told Debo.

We’ll see once we get this mess cleared up, we can sit down and discuss some business, or we’ll take it out of your pay…, we’ll talk. I like what you plan to do with it. So, we will most definitely talk…, okay, Debo assured him.

Thanks, Debo…, I sure do appreciate it, Jeffery said, with gratitude.

Debo, come here a sec!!! Mad-C yelled, from across the large room.

Debo and Jeffery had already finished their conversation. Debo walked over to where Mad-C was standing and said,

    What’s up?

I’m having a meeting with some people tomorrow morning and I want you to be here. I’ll tell you what’s up when you get here. They won’t be here until around noon, Mad-C told Debo.

Ok, what time in the morning?

About 8:00 or 9:00 in the morning; give us some time to put some shit together before they get here, Mad-C approximated.

No problem I’ll be here…, hey what happened to, Edward?

With all the money he was able to save working for me, he found a couple of things to invest it in. He’s doing quite well for himself. He was with me for eighteen years. I met him years before I met you. He worked for me in the maintenance department at the dock. I liked his cleaning style and technique, so I gave him a much easier job. It paid a hell of lot more than he was getting paid. But yes…, he’s gone. I can handle things here, whatever I need done around here isn’t a problem, I’ll be just fine doing it myself. There’s somebody that comes every now and then if I need him. I can handle whatever little freshening-up that needs to be done…, I’m good. I told; Edward the same thing I told you: Invest, Invest, and Invest. I hope you do, Debo, Mad-C explained.

I guess everybody got tired and sat down for a minute. I’m going to give, Shelly my money and let her invest it. She’s the business-savvy one; a pretty smart girl, Debo replied.

Smart decision, Debo…, smart decision, Mad-C awarded his closest friend.

Yeah…, I’m headed for that life and that future; you remember…, the one I was telling you I wanted, Debo proudly informed Mad-C.

Yeah…, I remember; you deserve it, Debo and you’ve most certainly earned it, Mad-C awarded him.

Jeffery and Freddy left a while ago, they wanted to get back to LA early and get ready for the moved to wherever they will be staying until further notice.

    (The next day)

    (8:00am)

It was Autumn again, and the weather was okay; a little cool…, but manageable. The fellas and ladies made it to San Diego and met-up at Mad-C’s estate.

Good morning everyone… I’m glad to see you all here this morning; thank you all for coming. There are drinks at the bar for those who drink this early, and coffee on the tray over there, for those who don’t. Mad-C announced, pointing to his well-stocked bar across the room.

He had coffee, tea, juices, and water on a cart next to the bar. The cart was made of black pearl, with silver wheels. A 22-karrot gold tray rested on the top of the cart; accented with a sterling silver teakettle, teacups, and serving-saucers and spoons. Everyone declined the alcohol and selected a softer beverage from the tray.

After getting the beverage of their choice, they all sat on the sofas or love seats that were there to accommodate his guests.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a problem…, I say we because I’m sure that everyone has been filled in. And ladies, I’m sure you’ve been introduce. I’m Charles Write, you can call me Mr. Write…, with a ‘W’. I didn’t quite get your names ladies, Mad-C said, to the two young beautiful ladies sitting before him.

He was aware of their names and backgrounds, he just wanted to formally introduce himself and have them to do the same.

I’m, Ivanna Vincent; my friends call me, (Ivy) Mister Write, Ivy said.

Ivy is a drop-dead-gorgeous young lady. She’s 5ft.-7in tall, long black hair and a perfectly toned and tanned body. She weighs 140 pounds and is extremely skilled in her field of work.

And, I’m Samantha Cole Mr. Write…, they call me, (Sam), Sam added.

Samantha is about an inch shorter than Ivy. She weighs 141 pounds, with short wavy brunet hair and a beautiful, (Black-coffee two-creams, ten-sugars) skin tone, and has the most beautiful hazel-brown eyes you’ve ever seen.

Pleased to meet you ladies ... We’re headed for a pretty-rough ride, and anyone who doesn’t want to take that ride, go home, Mad-C announced to the crew.

No one said anything so he took that to mean that no one had a problem with it, and that everyone was on board and ready to get some work done.

Debo, Jeffery, Freddy welcome back, and ladies, welcome aboard, Mad-C said, as a final greeting to his and Debo’s former and newest crew members.

Mad-C, I have plenty of room at the house; if I decide to work from there, the girls can stay there until this is over, Debo offered.

You know something, Debo? That just could work. Ladies…, you don’t have a problem with staying at Mister Jackson’s estate until we can set things up, do you? Mad-C asked the two ladies.

No sir…, no problem at all, Ivy said.

I don’t have a problem with it either, Samantha informed him.

Ok, then we’re all set, Mad-C said.

    (Meanwhile)

Donald Warwick was getting edgy. He was trying to figure out a way to send a mole in to infiltrate Mad-C’s organization. But whoever it’s going to be, must be damn good. Getting the $300,000,000,00., is all that’s on his mind. He kept telling himself that he would get it no matter the cost. Whoever must die…, must die, even if it means that he himself must die. Then it is what it is. It’s the price you pay when you choose to dabble in deceit.

    (1:30 pm)

It was considerably cold for an October afternoon, but for, California it’s your basic weather for this time of year. Freddy and Joy were at home engaged in a hart felt conversation.

So, you’ll be gone for a while, huh baby? Joy asked Freddy.

She said it with sadness, fear, concern, and a deep emptiness in her soul. Freddy could see it in her eyes and in her heart.

Yes baby…, just long enough to clean this mess up, then everything will be back to normal, Freddy assured her.

I know the business, okay. So, don’t even try to keep me from worrying about you out there. Remember…, I nearly lost my life twice. All I’m going to say is be extremely careful out there for me, Joy plead.

Don’t worry about me sweetheart, I’ll be just fine. I know the business too, my love, Freddy reminded her.

Yeah, I knew you would say that, Joy further protested.

Oh… I have something for you baby, Freddy announced.

All I want is you back here alive and in one piece. Don’t try to butter me up…, what is it? she asked.

Meet me in the bedroom after dinner, and I’ll fill you in, Freddy said.

Don’t you mean, you’ll fill me ‘up’? Isn’t it a little early for bedtime? Joy jokingly asked.

Okay smarty-pants you guessed it, just meet me there tonight…, after dinner…, don’t be late, Freddy said, in a soft sweet whisper.

Mum… sounds good to me, I’ll be there, Joy responded.

    (7:45pm)

Joy met Freddy in the bedroom as he requested. She made sure she wore the candy-apple-red panty and bra-set he bought for her. Freddy slowly caressed her as they moved closer to the bed. He took off everything except her panties, then softly laid her on the bed and climbed on top of her. His hands were caressing her soft warm body. He then started kissing her behind her neck while coming around to her chin, then her ear. All the while his hands were slowly moving down her spine and inside the waistband of her panties; caressing the softness of her perfectly round bottom, as their bodies rubbed together. She felt nothing but passion, love, tenderness, and a wild sensation of ecstasy. She was in a world she hoped would never end with the man she loves so dearly.

She was so much at peace, that the thought of him never coming home to her was completely gone from her mind. He had relaxed her mind, body, and soul. He instilled in her the love and faith that she needed to convince her that he will be coming home to her and their seven-year old son. She will never have to miss his embrace, his touch, the warmth of his body next to hers. The soft sweet whispers of love in her ears, ever again. Joy swore that nothing or no one would ever take him from her or come between the two of them, and she will do all that is within her to make sure nothing and no one ever will.

    (Meanwhile)

Jeffery stopped by his pool hall to check-in with Leroy.

Leroy…, I want you to keep an eye on the place for me, and as usual…, Molly calls all the shots, understood, Jeffery told his lead bar tender, and manager of his pool hall.

Yes sir Mr. Smith, Understood, Leroy replied.

I’ll only be gone a couple of months; you should be alright, I’m sure you will be. I know you can handle things here while I’m gone, Jeffery said.

No problem in that department, Jeffery my man. I can guarantee you that you don’t have anything to worry about; not long as I’m running the place, Leroy responded, with pride.

NO, Leroy…, Molly runs the place while I’m gone, you just keep being the manager. After tonight I won’t be here all the time. I will be stopping in from time to time when I’m in town. I’m going home to say goodbye to, Molly before I leave for San Diego. Take care, Leroy and hold it down for me. JT…, Clinton…, Joe…, you guys help, Leroy watch over the pace while I’m gone. I’ll take care of you guys when I get back!!! Jeffery yelled, to three more of his friends that were shooting pool in his pool hall.

Will do!!! JT yelled, behind him.

You got it boss-man, Clinton responded.

I sure will, Jeff my-man. Somebody gotta keep an eye on ole, Leroy over there, Joe jokingly said.

Okay…, you guys help, Molly with the place for me while I’m gone, Jeffery repeated, and was out the door.

Mad- C asked Debo at the meeting they had two weeks ago, if they still have the services of Tommy, Mark, Cosmo, and a guy that took Petters’ place; Phillip Chambers.

I’m sure, Warwick is not going to play fair, so I called the guys back in. I’m sure they will be of some help to us. That gives us eight guys and two girls. I think that should be more than enough…, what do you think? Debo asked Mad-C.

Sounds good to me, I just want to get this mess over with…, once and for all, Mad-C stated.

Yeah…, put it to sleep and let it stay there where it belongs, Debo replied.

    Chapter 2

    (Thursday October 5th, 8:00am)

Donald Warwick has been out of prison for a while now. Mad-C, and Debo wondered why he hadn’t surfaced yet.

Donald Warwick; former politician, yacht club pioneer, and multi-multimillionaire. Debo is not new to the game, he’s been in it for a little over eight years, but Mad-C is a very experienced veteran, in the money and crime game. He knows his highs and lows…, what he can do, and what he can’t do…, what he should do, and what he shouldn’t do. But there’s one thing he had better not do. And that is underestimate a man like Donald Warwick. He’s a very smart man or he wouldn’t be as rich as he is. Mad-C gives him credit for that.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen…, I hope everyone slept comfortably. This is going to be our little headquarters while were having so much fun in the near…, and I do mean, NEAR future. Everyone will be provided with his or her own apartment, car, and debit card account. You can all stay in, California until we can make other arrangements. But positively no one is allowed to visits family, understood…, understood? Debo repeated.

Understood, Freddy, Jeffery, Samantha, and Ivy responded.

Good…, so when everybody gets off you can go home and that don’t mean home to family. We must keep them away from what’s about to happen. And one more thing…, if anyone is caught visiting wives and kids before this job is done. You will not get paid, and it will be grounds for your immediate dismissal from the team. (We Can’t Jeopardize Their Lives). And I stress that point vigorously…, is that understood? Debo finished.

Understood, Everybody chimed in, in unison.

Ok…, are there any questions? Mad-C asked.

No one said anything, because if their questions were disputes, then there was no use in questioning or disputing anything Debo or Mad-C decides to do, or whatever either of them says. They can have all the opinions they want, but the last words and the final decisions goes to Debo and Mad-C.

Ok people let’s get ready to go to work. Freddy, Jeffery, I need to have a word with the two of you when we get to the house. It’s just to work out some arrangements for the apartments and the cars we’ll need to get for you all, or whatever else we decide on. Mister Write is financing this whole mission for everything and everyone, Debo announced.

    Yes sir, Jeffery responded.

You got It, Debo, Freddy chimed in.

Okay…, I’m out of here you guys. I’ll talk to you when you get up tomorrow, Debo informed Mad-C and the rest of the crew.

Debo, I’ll talk to you later…, you too guys!!! Mad-C yelled, behind the others on their way out the door.

They made it to the Shell Debo at eleven-fifteen am. Debo put the ladies in a room of their own until he can get things in order. Him and Jeffery found time to talk about Jeffery buying the shell Debo. The girls settled in for a minute in their own large guest quarters before everybody sat down to eat. Freddy joined, Debo and Jeffery and was engaged in their conversation.

I didn’t know this place had so many rooms, it’s a beautiful home; spacious too, Freddy commented.

Well you guys weren’t over here that often, but yeah it’s pretty nice, Debo bragged.

So, you’re buying it huh, Jeffery? Freddy asked.

Well yeah, if the boss will sale it to me. He said that, ‘he would discuss it with me further, probably after this job is over’, Jeffery quoted.

Debo had gone in his home office for a minute. When he came back in the room where Freddy and Jeffery were talking, he overheard part of the two men’s conversation.

Jeffery…, I like what you have planned for the place. I think it’s a wonderful thing that you are buying it to help those that needs and wants help. I went in that room they had you strapped to that bed in. I didn’t know shit like that still existed, Debo reminded him.

Yeah well, I’m living proof that it does. The money you let me keep, I’m saving it for the rehab center. Thanks again, Debo, Jeffery proudly announced.

No problem, anything for my good friend and crew member. You guys do a wonderful job out there and I appreciate that. I just hope the girls you brought in, works out, Debo said.

Oh they will, Debo I promise you that. I’ve seen them both in action. They’re good…, they’re really good. These are some, Hella Girls, Jeffery awarded Sam and Ivy, in their absence.

Shelly always called the (Shell Debo) her, ‘home away from danger, her sanctuary from that awful world out there’, until all the havoc broke loose and ruined her spirit and trust in the lavish estate. She always knew that her husband would be there to keep her out of harm’s way, and until this day he’s still doing it.

After their meeting, everyone ate a nice brunch, said their good-byes, and went about doing what they
