Neelam Batra Sud
Neelam Batra Sud was inspired to write this play when she went to visit her young nephews Rahul and Gaurav in Zug, Switzerland. She hoped that when they grew up they would read this readers’ theater and be inspired to find out more about their Indian heritage. Neelam wrote this play whilst se was teaching in an Elementary school in Sheffield, England. Now Neelam teaches in Maryland, USA. Her American students enjoyed reading form the manuscript of this play so much that she decided to publish it. She was inspired by Maya Angelou saying “I believe the most important single thing beyond discipline and creativity is daring to dare.”
