INTRODUCTION
25677.pngW e are taught to believe that our parents always know what is best for us. Our teachers provide us information and concepts that help us grow and prosper within the boundaries of a specific culture or society. Our governments, ministers, council representatives and legislatures put forth rules and guidelines so that we may live together in the most harmonious ways possible. The truth is that there does not exist a unified and sole entity capable of providing the best guideline for living life at its ultimate capacity, in body, mind and spirit. True happiness can only be defined through one’s individual and specific perception of the life they have chosen to live. As human beings we are given the power of choice to do one thing or the other; to think in one manner or another. There are no boundaries or limits to what you can think, feel and believe. Though we are taught and persuaded by culture and our surrounding environments to feel and interpret things in a certain way, we all do have the option to freely except the life that we are living; or to change it completely.
We have all been faced with the dilemma of whom or what is behind the way we think, the way we feel, and in what we believed to be true. Are we living in dream or in reality? The easiest and most common response to this brings us back to our parents and the generations before them. We do things in a certain way because this is how it has been done for many years prior. We are taught by our parents, our ethnic background, our culture and the society in which we currently live in, the differences between one person and the other. We are taught to separate and distinguish ourselves by the color of our skin, our religion; faith, nationality, height, weight, wealth, and so forth. What truly defines us as unique individuals if we are constantly categorized into very specific groups? What truly makes us different from one another? What really contributes to our lifestyle choices?
The biggest misconception of all is that we constantly feel that there is no other choice. It is what it is. We simply accommodate ourselves with the idea that, if we follow certain guidelines and rules, no one will be pointing their finger at us to judge; rather we will be expecting a reward of some sort for abiding with the terms imposed on us. In reality, we are condemning ourselves to fear, self-doubt, anxiety, and depression. We fail to realize that the ego boost we receive from family and friends, our co-workers and our bosses, are merely passive. The essence of who we truly are and believe to be is put on the backburner due to fear of disappointment. We are taught to play safe; make wise and constructive decisions, all in the name of something else aside from ourselves. We will judge ourselves more frequently than anybody else. Though everything may seem perfectly fine in the eyes of everyone, it is yourself that you need to be worried about. How do you feel? What do you dream of? What do you believe in? How often do you have a conversation with your own self? How clear are your thoughts? What is creating obstruction to your line of thinking?
This work will not give you a definite guideline to what you should be doing and how you should be thinking. Instead, you will read accounts of my own fears, my own thoughts, the choices that I made to overcome fears, and the struggles that I continue to encounter throughout my daily life. I am not a teacher of any sort, I am not a healer. I am someone just like you with a belief that we were all created as unique beings to serve a specific purpose on this Earth. The biggest struggle for me has always been to truly define this purpose. I have realized along this process that we are all specific instigators of accounts in our lives and other people’s lives. If we did not exist as individuals, the world would be a different place. This is what we must believe in.
I have a very deep belief system that does not pertain to any specific faith, culture, or social status. We have all been given the freedom to think whatever it is we want. Your thoughts will always be authentic to you and will always be protected within your heart. How you act upon those thoughts will differentiate you from others. Our thoughts will always be free to travel wherever it chooses to. You have the choice to travel in the right direction for yourself. I believe we are all here to make others better people, this is our goal, to bring comfort and security to the lives of others; to help others to live out their dreams; to live a life of service, escape all barricades of fear and delusional disorders.
In the following work you will get to know a bit of the person that I was as a young boy. You will see that I am not different from you in many aspects, but I will sure try to bring you some comfort in knowing that you are not alone in whatever turmoil’s you are going through in your own life. We all have moments of great Joy and of extreme sorrow, but regardless of where we are in this exact moment in life, this time should be thought as a learning experience in order to face future decisions. We all make choices – options based on past emotions and intellect experiences. In these decision-making processes we are taught to follow very specific structured guidelines so that we may save on the time it takes us to come up with a solution; try to eliminate the fear of making a mistake; reduce any risk that this decision might bring based on past experiences. Basically we tend to live a life of structural protocol, so that we don’t feel mainly responsible for a decision gone wrong. Hey! Just following protocol, right? Well, not really. Let us think carefully how we really feel in these instances. It really comes down to your inner-conscious thinking and how peaceful you really feel. What is your gut really telling you? Learning to trust your gut might not
