A letter from Me to You
Part 1
The Hurting
ah yes, the soulmate who
wasn’t meant to be.
you know the song that repeats in your head all day?
the song that is just so catchy
yet so annoying because it won’t leave your thoughts?
well, you’re that song.
you start to notice you’re not okay
when showers become tasks
and waking up becomes a nightmare
it’s annoying how badly I want you
wrapped around me,
yet I know it will never happen
-the thought of reality hurts
why must we hurt
the people who we love most?
-because everyone hurts me.
after a short while of knowing you,
you became the nothing
when someone asks me what I’m thinking
trying to replace someone
with a million other people
never works
everyone can and will leave
but drugs, drugs will never leave
-mind of the addicted
only to you does my love go out to.
yet it never seems to be enough,
it was never enough for me to love myself
