In The Blue
Racing like a wave, I crash into sand as rip tides pull me away
My body aches as my soul takes the ride
Bumps and bruises every which way
As driftwood and rocks get in my way
In the stillness of calm seas my mind is silenced
As I gently flow, above the sand, below the blue
If all we have is a moment of peace
I’ll take mine and be at ease
As the winds blow, the ocean awakens
Knock knock I’m here
I can feel the earth move as my spirit is shattered and shaken
The shades of the shore how peaceful they seem
Lonely I stare, lonely I cry
Tired of the wet, in need to be dry
Shadows in the night hold me together
Moonlight shine and dancing stars
Cover the night, cover the sky
Drifting the seas like a piece of wood
Stuck in between, this place I dream
Wet and dry just the same
Laughing and crying inside and out
Screaming in the silence
As my ocean turns to drought
Though I float, and float I do
Wondering what lies ahead
Drained and tired, battered and bruised
Today I’m a wave
Held captive in the blue
Goodbye
You shelter yourself, embracing the lies
Sapphire whispers, diamond sky reflection
Deserted desert, my mind’s complexion
A drifting island, magnificent waves
Ferocious storms, forever your slave
The journey is yours and mine alike
We have become one, you know my soul
Inside and out, I’m engaged in your confliction
My heart bleeds for a decision
I always knew this day would come
My soul in need of a resurrection
To stand up tall, seeking myself
In search of fire, distinguished by a liar
My destiny I define
Addiction say goodbye
Capture My Heart
Capture my heart with the palm of your hand
Your fingertips beating, I finally understand
The pain in my chest, the fear in my soul
Capture my heart with the palm of your hand
Wipe my flowing tears with the grace of your reflection
Mirrors are not needed to feel a love made of perfection
Capture my soul with limitless thoughts
Undefined, unrecognizable shadows embracing
A moment in silence begins from your memory
Your echoes live inside of me
Capture my past with the palm of your hand
There I am safe, home at last
Capture my pain with the palm of your hand
Your fingertips beating, I finally understand
Space Between
Are those cubes yours or are those cubes mine
Do they tell stories of space and time
Of past and present, do they open and close
How many roads are drifting
How many are yet to be
The eyes do lie, the soul does cry
In the middle he lives
Floating, evading what has yet to be
The space between, never cast in stone
The many pathways to be chosen
It’s up to you and me
Shining bright is the anxious mind
Dreaming of dreams, that have yet to be
But this I plead with you, do not ask what if
You never know what lurks in the cubes
And the power they create
For they are all, and everything that exists
Anchor
Rope of life intertwined
By manifestations left behind
Echoes of shadows in the murky waters
Shimmering light from above the shoreline
Anchor and core knows the soul
Meaning of Life
To find out who
To find out how
To find out what
Let emotions reflect the why
Simplicity equals reality
Reality equals spirituality
Find the totality in the space between
The meaning of life
Measures the soul
Locked away treasure
Seeking
