Suggested Opening Exercises
1.Usual Signal for Beginning
2.Prayer (Closing with the Lord’s Prayer)
3.Singing (Song To Be Selected)
4.Scripture Reading: Psalm 1 (KJV)
Director: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
School: But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Director: And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
School: The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Director: Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
All: For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Recitation in Concert:
John 3:1–8 (KJV)
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Closing Work
1. Singing
2. Sentences:
Acts 1:4–8 (KJV)
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
3.Dismissal with Prayer

PROMISES AND CONSEQUENCES
BACKGROUND PASSAGE: 2 CHRONICLES 7:1–22
PRINT PASSAGE: 2 CHRONICLES 7:12–22

Boyd’s Commentary for the Sunday School
KEY VERSE: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14, KJV
COVID-19 has really changed the way we look at life and how our life is governed. Especially with the number of cases and death steadily rising, many filing for unemployment, and family structure and socialization interrupted—folks are really scared. Just what are we to do and how are we to do it? What is the role of the Church and believers amidst these times? You often hear people say that we are praying,
but just how much do we believe in the power of prayer and the One to whom we are praying? Frankin Segler says that Prayer is the ‘Soul of Worship.’
Prayer is communication between God and His people; which may be one of the reasons James 5:16 states, "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed."
Are we really praying and trusting in our hearts what we are saying and Who we are praying to? James 4:2 says that we have not because we ask not. Are we really praying and trusting? This is a great question, in light of the fact
