Before I start dedicating this novel, I want to give thanks to my Lord and Savior for allowing me to write this novel and giving me the strength and time to finish this novel.
This novel is dedicated to the ones who don’t believe that change can happen even when it seems as if it isn’t. We all have a story that have things that shouldn’t be told, but that is the uniqueness in all our stories—that uniqueness that you can speak up and tell your story and to have a great outcome. Let’s not forget the fact that you are able to tell your story with boldness and joy that you made it out of your situation and became something great.
I finally want to dedicate this novel to the publishing company that made it possible to even have this amazing book heard. A publishing company that believes in inspiring those readers out there around the world to have something to look forward to, someone that can share an incredible story with a great outcome. Thank you all for everything.
Introduction
Wondering when will it come a time to wake up from this nightmare in which I consider myself in. The help that was once called hope and faith has now become nothing but a dry and dark land in which I call family. Can’t do nothing but pray and hope that things began blessings than a near curse from my kindness. They say get up and experience life to the fullest, but it seems as if life is taking me and turning me upside down numerous times until I throw up my soul. With taking care of my son and battling with my lover who has no idea about how I feel and really want in the relationship, I’m forcing to hide in the confer of counseling others in their own struggle to be somebody than to be nobody in greater ways than nun. If only I could just live life exploring new things than to be stuck caring about others all the time.
Give me your hands.
I frowned at him.
Angalice.
His voice was sharp. Give me your hands.
I did. He held my wrists in the stretch of one big hand, lifting them over my head, lying me down again. I watched the pulse hammer in his throat as he leaned down to tie me to his headboard. The knots weren’t tight, but I had no interest in trying to get away. I lay stretched out on his bed, and he finally…finally unzipped my skirt and slid it down my legs.
Broken
To be honest, I hadn’t expected to be naked in front of Mark Jones when I got dressed this morning in his office for work. We both worked the evening shift together for months at this new counseling firm. Tonight I took the rest of the night off without letting my husband know I was getting off early. I couldn’t believe I’d indulged in some wishful thinking with Mark Jones as I did basically all the time, which is usually with my husband instead of Jones. Back indulging in my wishful thinking with Jones again, I started trying to figure out what sexy underwear to wear, but I didn’t really own any sexy underwear. However, tonight’s panties had a green heart-shaped argyle pattern. They cut a little high up on my cheeks. Nothing special, I’d changed while getting off early tonight. Instead of Jones’s office, we both decided to indulge in some wishful thinking at his place.
Jesus, look at you,
he murmured.
I blushed and looked away. His hands slid up my thighs, and his fingers curled around the waistband of my panties and pulled them down.
Oh, come on,
I said.
The lights were on, and he was going to look, as if he’d freaking looked at everything else almost to the point that he could memorized it.
Jones, listen
Hush,
he said again and looked up at me. Are you going to make me gag you?
Headshots through me like fireworks. I shook my head.
Maybe someday,
I said.
Good,
he said.
He slid my panties down over my calves and over my feet. He examined them as if I was in physical therapy getting examined by my doctor. So he put them in his pants pocket, then turned his attention back to me. His palms pressed against my thighs, easing them apart.
Oh god,
I moaned.
His fingers feathered over my hips, my stomach. My muscles danced under his touch. I wanted to plunge my fingers back into all that black hair, and it took pulling against the tie around my wrists to remind me I couldn’t. I whimpered, my hips pressing up to meet his hands. He then slid his hand between my legs again, velvet slick against the wetness. My eyes fluttered close, and I groaned. I felt as if I was coming apart in pieces, and he hadn’t even gotten inside me just yet.
Jones,
I whispered.
Hush, baby. Look at me,
he said.
So I opened my eyes and saw him watching me with a gangster expression. He knelt between my legs, pants tight across, powerful thighs.
Don’t move,
he said, sliding his hands around my calves.
The heat from his skin shocking even through his socks. He pushed my knees up so that my feet were flat on the bed.
Let me take care of what your husband couldn’t do,
he said with sexiness in his voice.
I wanted to freaking run more than any other time only because I thought about how bad I was betraying my marriage with this bad wishful thinking. As I was watching his face framed by that collared shirt, this intelligent and powerful man was putting me at the center of his world for at least tonight. I wanted to freaking run, but his eyes entrapped me and held
