About this ebook
I chose this title because I believe that holding fast to your dreams is of the utmost importance. Doing what we love in life satisfies us and this requires us to be "convicted." I believe both love and dreams are rooted in the same source, love!

Convicted Dreamer - James McGill
Alive To Strive
Day in, day out
you dream about
a life you began
at times to doubt
Hang true, hang tough
You learn this stuff
of life, it’s struggle
to surpass the rough
So begin, so start
you came, you’ll part
Hold fast your way
rise above, be smart
Head high, eyes fixed
no deceit can mix
You go, you learn
You take your licks
Day in, day out
you dreamt about
the life you began
Your life, your route
Living For Today
Growing it reaches, never to grasp
Growing it teaches, always to last
Never’s too fast for the moment at hand
For the moment at hand can’t take a stand
So take it for now, let it go for tomorrow
For a moment in time is only ours to borrow.
New Age Current
There’s a new age comin’
it’s causing all the changes
the pace is getting quicker
hold on for the ride
For the ride has just begun
and it’s for what we sung
but we must pay the price
and it’s all we’ve done
Look around see the confusion
but lay it all to rest
cause to make the other side
we must pursue it as a test
The lost people will be last
to realize what’s going on
they’re the ones with the doubt
they’ll try to slow you down
With head high follow inspi ration
cause the new age is comin’
don’t be caught feeling down
cause the current starts within
It’s powerfully big and it’s fact
truth’s behind it pushing fast
forget your scheming mind’s tact
truth comes first and stays last
Brighter Pastures
Fast talking, back stabbing, leaving it behind
discovering new fields, going to take my time.
Suns are rising, white light energizing
triumphant I will be.
Finding it to be the brightest of brights
with the darkest of blacks indeed.
A combination of opposing energies
with an understanding of the balance we need.
Playin’ Again
I’m rollin’ and a tumblin’
throwin’ and a doublin’
things getting dicey again.
I’m a flippin’ and fumblin’
strollin’ and stumblin’
on my face again.
I’m foldin’, no I’m holdin’
am I standin’, am I callin’
ace in the hole again.
I’m winnin’, then I’m losin’
first sittin’, then cruisin’
playin’ the game again.
’Stead of passin’, I’m bettin’
’stead of losin’, I’m gettin’
part way ’round again.
I’m sweatin’ and I’m cursin’
first payin’, then pursin’
on a roll again.
I’m breakin’ and I’m shakin’
either bluffin’ or fakin’
playin’ again and again.
Heed The Seed’s Direction
Whining and crying, caring to keep
all the things that’ll change a sheep.
Moaning and groaning, daring to leap
when all we want is love to reap.
Sighing and trying for the love we need
to make it the flower instead of a seed.
Means So Much
It means so much to me
to see it mean so much to you
having it spread all over our globe
Because when it means so much to us
It’ll be in God we truly trust
His means last forever
Stop Already
Got to get back, got to get back home
got to get it happening in a real life tone.
Been too long of a nap, too soon I’ll snap
if I don’t get it happening and stop all this crap.
Needing invigoration and a little inspiration
needing a way out of this annihilation.
’Cause the walls are shaking, the floor is quaking
then there’s the door and it’s only making
the whole situation more frustrating.
My bones are aching, my back is breaking
then there’s my head and it’s only making
the whole situation more frustrating.
There’s been a mishap, I’ve been stuck with a rap
that I know nothing about or how to adapt.
Too long of a trial, too long of a
