I never thought that I would write a book. However, here we are. I was born in Chester, PA (go Eagles), and I love a good Cheesesteak. I am an Army Veteran with seven years served and a tour to Iraq. I am married to the love of my life (18 years), and we have three beautiful children. There are a few things that I am passionate about, and they are Veteran Welfare, marriages, family, and teaching. Through my books, I intend to encourage those who need direction and motivation to head in the right direction.

Dedication
I want to dedicate this book to my son, Darren Jr. I named you after me because our name means great. I love you, son. I also want to dedicate it to all of the young black men who don't have the presence of a strong male role model in their life right now. I wrote this for you.
