What is Rapport?
What is Rapport? It is a close relationship in which people or groups understand each other's feelings or ideas and communicate well. I like to think of it as hearing a musician play their instrument to their song at their volume, tempo, and pitch. As they play the music, their body moves into their own vibe. The song is telling its own story, and suddenly, imagine you pick up your instrument and begin to play, harmonizing with it. Your volume, tone, and pitch are so similar to theirs. Now we have harmony and every note you play compliments theirs. Your body is in sync with theirs, grooving to the same rhythm. This makes the other musician realize that music is much more grand with you than without you. Now they're committed to the band. This is a lot of how rapport works. If two people are eager to play a song together and one element is off, whether it is volume, tempo, tone, or pitch, we can kill the
