About this ebook
This is the fourth book, now being published under 'VIDA Reading'. Within 'A Pity' there contains a collection of poems of varied length describing the rise and fall of the authors mental health, complications with inter-partner violence, and sex addiction. Through it all, the therapeutic effect of documenting key events within the span of two years illustrates a realization that ushered in a new chapter (pun intended) for J.R. Olvera II

A Pity - J. R. Olvera II
Sinking feeling
Lurching left then right
Bumpy ride, choppy waves
Boat made of cheap wood skips across
The surface of black lake.
Skipping across like the flat stones you throw
I’m washed in water
Head to toe
Shivering jitters do not pleasure me much.
Will this trip end short?
Boat has three holes, not plugged
Waters fill up to my knees
Goodnight
I shout, gale suffocates me
Have you ever seen a mast not risen?
Like the sun, but mute?
Or a man sinking below the rising horizon?
The end of a voyage, no glory here.
Trying to find my spark
The last parable saved for someone else
You say I wrote it but couldn’t write you something
Rebound relationships rebounding from hurt
Discredit the credit where earned.
Compromise
Aren’t you happy
That when I’m sad
You’re at your most happy?
Losing Interest
I’m having problems writing because what makes me write is no longer sitting on my shoulder.
It left or got lost on my way down from my watertower.
If I ever find it, I'm sure you’ll know.
Until then I
