What Is I Without God
To Thank God
My Name
The Beckoning Light
You Found Me
Beat That Drum
My heart stood wondering
Within me.
For what shall I do for God
Who has loved me so?
Who took me broken as I am
Mended the parts I could not fix
Till I became whole
Who cherished me ugly in
The inside as I am
Beautified my soul till
His radiance was seen by all
Till they asked , ' Why the glow?
Why the joy ? How beautiful you are?'
I replied , ' It is God! '
You feel it I live it.
What a life I live !
So my heart asks
Whatever shall I do for Him?
Do I parade Him in the streets
Shouting, ' This is Jesus , see how
He saved me from sin!'
Do I take Him to the top of a mountain
' This is God, see what the Lord has
Done for me !'
How do I contain His majesty
In such small a space.
If I love a man
I cook his favourite food
I go to his house to see how he fares
Just to make him smile.
But what does one do for the Creator
Of all ?
I dress in modesty
Clean with a willing heart
To His house I will head
Among His brethren I will pray
I will tell my church , ' Beat that drum.'
For I have come far with the Lord
Who held my dying spirit
When noone else did
Who loved me still
Despite my shortcomings
So I will dance as David dance
When God entered his city.
Like a fool I will shout in joy
For joy is all I have.
' Beat that drum.'
For with God by my side
The best is yet to come.
Indescribable
To know for certain He is here
To love Him with all
Your heart, mind and soul
To feel Him in a blink of an
Eye when you do so
His beauty is terrifying
Yet awesome and incredible
Holy and frightening
For years on I prayed with faith
I believed in the Unseen with all
That I am
But He visited me
I felt Him not see Him
And I knew Him for the truth
Is clearer than crystal.
This was different
This changed my faith
Unburdened I became
Yet froze like a stone I did
My human heart was too
Weak for His Holy presence
I knew it before without doubt
No I know for certain
