FAO, with funding from USAID, established the Data in Emergencies (DIEM) Information System in June 2020.
Driven by regularly collected primary data, its objective is to understand the impact of shocks in food crisis contexts and inform decision-making in support of agricultural livelihoods.
Since its establishment, DIEM-monitoring has surveyed over 600,000 households through 180 surveys, covering 348 provinces across 42 countries.
