Sightseeing on vacation: mid-morning to early evening. (I like to sleep late. Eat lunch at a less busy time--after 1:00 p.m. and then go for a second round of sightseeing before retiring for the evening.)

Depends on the type of vacation, LOL! But for now, I'd have to go with city. More to see, more to do, more to keep the kids busy. But I have this feeling that, once the kids are older and Marc and I take more time for ourselves, we'll probably hit somewhere more secluded for more 'alone' time.

Museums! I love seeing everything! I'm not much into art, my hubby's not into live theater, and while fine restaurants are nice, we can't afford them, LOL!

Kraft Dinner or something quick that goes into the microwave. The kids can't sit still long enough for a normal dinner - the whole "Mom, can we go now" has a tendency to get on my nerves, LOL! So, quick like KD or Pizza pockets: Something filling and quick with little clean-up time.

Outdoor activity with the kids (when they're small, LOL!): camping, fishing, hunting, traditional park, amusement park, beach, pool, other.

Other--the zoo. Excluding hunting, we have done everything on your list. My favorite activities to do with my children when they were little, or even now, includes(d) going to the movies--everyone in our family is huge movie fans--going to the zoo, art galleries, or any type of museum. Other common activities included going to skating rinks, putt-putt, bowling, and family fun centers. Since the zoo has indoor and outdoor activities, I would have to say that the zoo is my favorite outdoor activity to do with my children when little or as adults. For my daughter's 24th birthday, a few months ago, she asked that we all go to the zoo together as we did when she was little. And we did.

Here in Timmins, there isn't that much indoor activites to do. We like to go bowling, and the movies. My kids can't sit down long enough for a play, nor can they keep their hands to themselves or stop running around, so museums are out for now. Both are still learning to skate, so it's not that high on their agenda of fun things - they figure they'll enjoy it when they stop falling - something I keep pointing out won't happen without practice. *shrug* I always end up outvoted. But we love watching movies with the kids - especially the ones that make them laugh. It's one of my favourite sounds, hearing children laugh - there's nothing quite like it.

Most annoying sound to you: someone continuously honking their horn, the awful buzzer of your alarm clock, loud tick of clock/watch in a quiet room, loud talking/partying/music in the middle of the night, dog whining/barking at all hours, the constant drip from a leaky faucet, other.

I've got three of them: continuous honking in the middle of the night, someone's car alarm going off in the middle of the night, a dog's whining bark when left alone. All three annoy the crap out of me! LOL!

Three actually: It's a Wonderful Life--the original Jimmy Stewart version, The Muppet Christmas Carol (My adult children still insist that we watch this as a family every Christmas), and Miracle on 34th Street, the 1994 version.

Our tree is my favorite. I have tons of heirloom quality ornaments, but as we age, my husband and I rarely have the energy to unbox a great number of individually wrapped ornaments. So, in recent years we have decorated our tree with lights, a tinsel garland, and dozens of stuffed animals that belonged to our children when they were little, and reside most of the year in baskets. Simple, but looks sensational, and we have memories of each animal being lugged around by one child or the other.

Again, what is your favorite decoration?

Oh, what a sweet idea! I never thought of that. Why, just last Friday at Wal-Mart, I gushed when I saw boxes and boxes of Pound Puppies. I immediately turned, looked at my youngest brother and asked him if he still had Coco, his chocolate Pound Puppy, from when he was a kid. He still does, although Coco now resides in his closet, LOL! That idea is so cool!

My fave deco: whatever the kids bring home that they made at school! I soooo love getting that stuff, especially the stuff they make in Junior and Senior kindergarden. Those were/are the best. My son made Rudolph last year with toilet paper rolls, googly eyes, a fuzzy nose, tree branches for his antlers, and a little plastic tray on top to put candy in, painted brown and wrapped with garland. I love it so much I refused to put it away after the holidays were over; it's still on top of my TV stand, LOL! Also, I buy a book of construction paper, cut strips, and the kids and I make a colourful paper chain to wrap around the tree instead of buying garland. The kids have a blast, and so do I!

Because I am a diabetic, I rarely bake any more because of the carbs. I still like baked bread (wheat, multigrain, rye, anything), because I can slice the loaf thin, and still have a sample without exceding my allowed daily carb intake. However, I must confess that I usually buy my specialty breads from one of the local bakeries. I also love fresh baked bagels with lox. We have a tradition of Christmas breakfast before opening the presents. We always have a bakers' dozen of fresh bagels that I picked up on Christmas Eve and thinly sliced lox from a natural food store with assorted side dishes.

More like: "MOM, DAD! Wake UP! Santa was here! C'mom Mom, c'mon, Dad, UP!" I don't think the kids know what breakfast is on Christmas Day, LOL! So, we open gifts first, then we eat something simple since Christmas dinner is filling. Being Italian, the turkey becomes more of a side-dish, the main is homemade ravioli with my mom's homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs. Then we go to my mom's where the gift opening is repeated. The guys clean up the paper and boxes afterwards while Mom and I start on dinner.

Tradition on Christmas Eve: Christmas lights sightseeing, church, curl and cuddle up under a warm blanket to watch a good classic Christmas movie, go out caroling, other?

Your Christmas Eve tradition?

When I was still living at home with parents and brothers, we went to church, then went light sightseeing, then opened presents at midnight so we could all sleep in on Christmas day. As for since the kids were born, we light up the tree, close the lights, watch a movie or two (since the kids shows are short), set out cookies, milk and carrots for Santa and reindeer, tuck the kids into bed, then snuggle (hubby and me) to watch a movie, have a couple of drinks and hit the sack early enough, knowing that kids will be up at the crack of dawn the next day, LOL!

Anything that I can use as a platform to present a creative gift that wows and delights before it is even opened. I consider gift wrapping a craft such as card and tag making.

traditional red and green - lol, we're a traditional family. However, I do love adding purple to my tree in the form of garland and ornaments.

Multi-coloured, PLEASE!!! LOL, we get too much snow and white lights seem too harsh, and I find all one colour is sort of tacky, especially when there's too much of the one colour.

I like anything that really brings out the season, but I really like those new fandangle air bubbles with the figures inside. There's one not far from my parents that has Winnie, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore inside that rotates and they're dressed with Santa hats and stuff. It's cute! But I adore Winnie and the gang, so maybe I'm biased, LMAO!

Christmas dinner: turkey, ham, chicken, mince pies, other

We had poached salmon, chilled shrimp with cocktail sauce, broccolini, cucumber salad made with fresh Greek yogurt, kale salad, taboule salad, assorted cheeses and fresh fruit for dessert. Keep in mind we are both diabetics; so I go for variety rather than carbs.

What was your holiday dinners like?

That sounds like an awesome dinner! I'd sub the salmon (yuck! LOL!) for Lobster and I'd be all set! I like that variety idea.

As per our custom, ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese, mom's homemade pasta sauce and meatballs and turkey with mashed potatoes, carrots and broccoli (foregoing the usual turnip - thank God cause I cant' stand turnip and Dad's the only one who eats it!) and gravy. Then, at MIL, more freaking turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetable tray with 2 different dips, pickles and olives, three kinds of cubed chesses. That's why I only eat it at this time of year. I get so sick of turkey.

New Year's Resolutions: lose weight, stopping a bad habit (such as smoking, drinking, etc...), better planning for retirement, saving for vacation, other.

Getting more exercise. My doctor is always telling me to exercise more. I do great in the summer with long walks, but during the school year not so much. I have a couple of workout videos, and should really use them more.

Yes or No: Did you make a New Year's Resolution?

No. Everytime I do, I end up breaking them. This year, I more promised myself than made a resolution, not to be so short-tempered or lose my patience with the kids, and that lasted until Jan 2nd. Me and resolutions are not synonymous.

straight life (Long-term care--covers costs in a nursing home--seems to be more popular right now. I know several older people who have this kind of coverage. I don't, but I have thought about it. Critical care is covered under my health policy.)

We have an air-hockey table (a mid-size one) and a small pool table (with mini balls) that you can flip over and becomes a smaller air-hockey table, plus there's a cover so that you can use it for poker an ping-pong.

We also have a air hockey table. This is an older style so quite large, takes a lot of spacek. Kids enjoy having their over to have air hockey tournaments.

My college aged son is the game player and probably has every system on the market; most of which he has paid for on his own. Ironically, most of the times he plays multi-player online games.

Oh, now there's one where I can use several answers, LOL! I love playing Free Cell and Spider Solitaire that comes with the computer system. I also like playing on Pogo.com, which has several different games, from using words to numbers to puzzles of all kinds, card games gallor (I love playing Canasta on Pogo! - once played with someone in Illinois for over an hour!).
