Sam is put on the trail of a major drug case by Eddy King. After Eddy's kidnapping, he investigates together with Sally in the vicinity of the charming Bedelia Kellerman, whose husband, seems to be in charge of the traffic.

For Sam's birthday, Sally bought a house in Deauville, as well as a four-poster bed. She goes to the antique store to look for the bed and finds it occupied by a woman's corpse. This is the merchant's wife, who has died two weeks earlier .
