Joined Toei Doga at the beginning of the 60s and very soon directed
episodes of animation TV series "Hustle Punch", "Gegege no Kitarô" and
"Akko-chan's Secret". In the 70s he focused on robot series created by
Dynamic Pro.("Grendizer", "Getter Robot G", "Great Mazinger"...) and in
1976 was promoted to chief director. His first full-length film as a
director was "Cyborg 009" (1980).
