One of Britain's most prolific radio actors, Sean Barrett has been better known for his voice rather than his face, often being employed for narration jobs on documentaries, for voice-overs in commercials and for dubbing continental actors in English versions of foreign films.

His appearance in the 1958 Dunkirk to that of Harry Styles, the star of Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk. When informed of this, Barrett noticed Styles and said "He looks quite good, doesn't he? I'll accept the physical comparison. I'll beat off the girls with my walking stick.".
