Mumbai, Aug 22 (Ians) Actor Rakesh Bedi was stuck in a major landslide while coming back from Solan in Himachal Pradesh. He even revealed that a huge boulder dropped in front of his car and is thankful to god that it did not hit him.

Rakesh took to Instagram, where he detailed the horrific incident. In the clip, he said: “You must have heard how Shimla, Himachal Pradesh are all badly affected by landslides. Such huge mountains are coming down heavily… I went to Solan two weeks ago for a lecture on acting that I had to deliver. While I was returning, we were told that the main highway is stuck due to a landslide and we may take a shortcut.”

He added that he took a shortcut and “a huge boulder fell right in front of us. Thank God it did not fall on our car, otherwise I’d have been.

Actor Utkarsh Sharma on Monday celebrated the massive success of his period action drama film ‘Gadar 2’ by shouting “Hindustan Jindabad”, and doing some bhangra steps. Cinematographer turned director Laxman Utekar’s ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ can be termed as a slice-of-life romantic comedy. Three (Hindi) film old Laxman’s previous two – Luka Chuppi & Mimi also fall in the light comedy genre. With a title like this one, one would but expect a comedy again. However, once you are through with the film, the title might ring a bell and might connect with the plot. It does try to profess what it says with a lighthearted rom com that leaves you with a subtle understanding about the life and its twists.

Plot

The plot revolves around the lives of Kapil (Vicky Kaushal) and his wife Saumya (Sara Ali Khan). It all begins with their 2nd marriage anniversary when the vegetarian cake turns out not to be so, and all hell breaks. Within minutes the viewers are served with a masaledar story until that point in time.

Mumbai, May 16 (Ians) The makers of ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, after unveiling the trailer on Monday, celebrating Vicky Kaushal’s 35th birthday on Tuesday by unveiling the first single from the film, titled ‘Phir Aur Kya Chahiye’.

Maddock Films drop the teaser for the first single with a caption that read: “Here’s a special gift only for our ranjha, dil jaaniye, our kappu, aka Vicky Kaushal. Wish you a very happy and a ‘hatke’ birthday, #PhirAurKyaChahiye Song out today at 6pm!”

The song has been crooned by Arijit Singh, composed by Sachin-Jigar and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Mumbai, May 15 (Ians) ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, who’s best known for films such as ‘Being Cyrus’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and ‘Angrezi Medium’, had a befitting reply when a media person claimed that the film makes fun of the middle class.

Addressing the media after the trailer release, Dinesh Vijan said: “I am from a joint family, 25 people used to live together in one house. When I needed to move out of it, I had to wait for five years before I could venture out.

“I am a middle-class man myself, I came here from outside, I didn’t know anyone in this business, whether it was ‘Badlapur’ or ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Luka Chuppi’ or ‘Mimi’, each one of my films chronicles middle-class tales. Maddock Films makes these films because we are middle class.”

Mumbai, May 15 (Ians) Sara Ali Khan believes that the relatability of her characters comes from the fact that she strongly relates with the pulse of her country and enjoys being “an Indian desi girl.”

Mumbai, March 5 (Ians) "Raag", a film close to the heart of late Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan, is all set to hit theatres on March 26.

"During the pandemic, we lost Saroj ji. She was the backbone of our project. Right from helping us in finalising the story to choreographing to suggesting an item number for the film to casting one of her favourite students -- Heena Panchal -- for the same, Saroj ji helped us a lot. Despite all our earnest efforts the film could not be released while she was around. We are now releasing it on 26th March 2021, and it is our tribute to the noble soul," producer Piyush Mundhada said.

"It is also the first work of the late choreographer to release in theatres posthumously. Had she been there, she would have been very proud of the same," he added.

Roshan Taneja, who trained scores of Hindi film actors including the likes of Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Jaya Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and Shatrughan Sinha, has died, said a family member. He was 87.

"My father passed away last night (Friday) at 9.30 p.m. in his sleep at home after a prolonged illness," the acting guru's son Rohit Taneja told Ians on Saturday morning.

He is survived by his wife Mithika and sons Rohit and Rahul.

The cremation will be held at 4.30 p.m. on Saturday at the electric crematorium in Santacruz West.

Roshan Taneja, known to many as the 'pioneer of method acting' in India, is held in high regard in the Hindi film industry. He had been training talent since the 1960s, first at the Film and Television Institute of India (Ftii) in Pune and later at his private school in Mumbai, the Roshan Taneja School of Acting.

Roshan Taneja's passion for acting took him to New York at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre to train under the famous Sanford Meisner and Sydney Pollack, who went on to become an Academy Award winning director.

Aniruddh Dave is from theatre background. He still remembers his first experience on stage. Talking about it, he says, ?I started doing theatre at a very young age in Jaipur. I have also participated in the International theatre festival called Bhartiya Rang Mahotsav, that is organized by National School of Drama, where I got to know more about it,? he says.?

Talking about the play closest to his heart, he says, ?I did a play based on a Japanese film Rashomon, which has been my favourite since my National School of Drama days. It was a great experience.?Theatre has always been a big part of his career and he has learnt so much from it. ?For a play, you need to have that dedication and discipline and I try to maintain that on the sets of my television show too. I have learned so much from the theatre,? he says.
