Born in Oak Ridge Tennessee, Joel moved to St. Louis, Missouri at the age of nine. There he learned the cruel truth about accents and began to hone his own ability to mimic them which has come in handy on several movie sets. He currently lives in Encino with his wife Cher and sons Levon and Cameron. When not acting, Joel sings at the finest clubs and honky-tonks in Los Angeles.
