Apple TV+ has rounded out the main cast of its upcoming series adaptation of the Mick Herron novel “Down Cemetery Road.”

Adeel Akhtar, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Tom Goodman-Hill, Darren Boyd, Tom Riley, Adam Godley, Sinead Matthews, Ken Nwosu, Fehinti Balogun, and Aiysha Hart have all been cast in the series.

They will appear alongside previously announced leads Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson.

The official description for the series states, “When a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb and a girl disappears in the aftermath, neighbor Sarah Tucker (Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Thompson). The Office and People Just Do Nothing producer Ash Atalla, whose Roughcut TV outfit is making We Might Regret This in association with Village Roadshow Television, said there has been a tendency for British broadcasters to “use the dry slopes of smaller budget shows or ancillary channels as training progams” when it comes to projects led by disabled people.

Exclusive: The BBC has greenlit a comedy-drama about a Canadian tetraplegic moving to London from Stath Lets Flats producer Roughcut TV in association with Village Roadshow Television.

In the Catastrophe-esque We Might Regret This, Freya, played by the show’s co-writer Kyla Harris, moves to the English capital to live with Abe (Killing Eve and Smack the Pony’s Darren Boyd). Abe thinks he’s an old dog that can learn new tricks but Freya requires constant PAs who are always present and, after failing to find the right person for this intimate role, invites chaotic and impulsive best friend Jo (Elena Saurel) to take the job.

The show is inspired by the lives of Harris and co-writer Lee Getty, who said it will be about the “messiest and most joyous lived experiences of friendship, love and disability.”

We Might Regret This was initially reported to be in development as a Channel 4 pilot.

The Outlaws is not going anywhere anytime soon. Prime Video and BBC One have renewed the comedy-thriller series for a third season.

Created by Elgin James and Stephen Merchant, The Outlaws follows a group of seven strangers forced to do community service in Bristol. Season three finds the group getting back to their lives until one of them returns with a deadly secret. The cast includes Merchant, Rhianne Barreto, Gamba Cole, Darren Boyd, Clare Perkins, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jessica Gunning, Charles Babalola, Tom Hanson, and Claes Bang. Christopher Walken (above), who appeared in the first two seasons, is not included in the third season's cast list.

Apple TV+ has officially renewed the critically acclaimed comedy Trying for a fourth season. The renewal was announced just days ahead of the show’s season three finale.

Esther Smith and Rafe Spall star as Nikki and Jason, a couple who’ve tried for years to have a family. In season three, Nikki and Jason opened their hearts and their home to foster children.

The series’ cast also includes Oliver Chris as Freddy, Sian Brooke as Karen, BAFTA Award winner Darren Boyd as Scott, and Robyn Cara as Jen. Mickey McAnulty plays Tyler and Eden Togwell is Princess.

Andy Wolton created the series and serves as writer and executive producer. Director Jim O’Hanlon and Josh Cole also executive produce.

The news of the renewal for the favorably reviewed series comes three days ahead of its upcoming Season 3 finale, which will debut on the streamer on Friday.

When “Trying” premiered its first season on Apple TV+ in May 2020, all eight episodes became available to watch on the platform on the same day. Since then, the series has shifted to a weekly format, with a new episode becoming available on the platform each Friday this season. The Season 2 and Season 3 premiere dates are an exception, which both saw two episodes released at once to launch a new season.

IFC has announced the first round of casting for the “53rd season” (not really 53rd season) of “Documentary Now!,” headlined by Cate Blanchett, Jamie Demetriou, Trystan Gravelle, Jonathan Pryce, John Rhys-Davies and Harriet Walter. Tom Jones is also joining the original comedy series.

The newly announced cast will be a part of the three previously announced episodes for the upcoming season, all of which are written by co-creator Seth Meyers.
