Hailing from Columbia, South Carolina, Nate Bynum is an American actor known for his extensive work in TV & Film. His onscreen scene partners include Oscar winners Viola Davis and Matt Damon, and Emmy/Golden Globe winners Woody Harrelson, Andy Samberg, Patrick Dempsey and many more. He is very proud of his uncredited role in Having Our Say: The Delaney Sisters as the son of SAG Life Achievement Award winner, Ruby Dee, and brother of acting legend Diahann Carroll. Bynum is best known for his work in Iron Man 3 (2013), My Dog Skip (2000), The Rainmaker (1997), and a recurring role as Coach Velazquez on the television series, Crash (2009). As a first-generation college student, Nate achieved an MFA in Acting from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and went on to become a tenured professor at both Mississippi State University and the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). At UNLV, he founded the acting for the camera curriculum which has become the springboard for a number of young actors working in TV and film. He is married to Dr. Linda Lister.
